The Apple Watch Series 10 is one of the biggest updates to the Apple Watch in years, with an upgraded design that’s thinner and lighter than the Series 9, while also having the biggest screen seen on an Apple Watch yet. There are also software upgrades that runners will enjoy in watchOS 11, including training load and the option to pause your activity rings. Mike, Kieran and Nick have been testing the watch out since its launch, and give their verdict on it’s suitability for runners in our Apple Watch Series 10 review.

Hello and welcome to the Run testers my Name is Nick and this is our full review Of the Apple Watch series [Music] 10 Apple Watch series 10 is obviously The latest version of the Apple watch We've been using it to track our runs And other workouts and general activity And sleep over the past month using it Alongside some other watches and this is Going to be our full review of the watch With that running Focus that we Obviously have on the channel the Apple Watch series 10 called £399 or $399 for The smaller 42mm model and then £429 $429 for the larger £46 mm model that We've all been testing you can then pay $100 or pounds extra to get a cellular Version of the watch and there's also a Titanium version of the watch which cost About £300 more and only comes in the Cellular version of the watch the big Change to the Apple Watch series 10 is Definitely the design it is now a watch With a bigger screen that is thinner and Lighter than past models and that really Changes the experience of using the Watch quite a lot even though obviously A lot of it remains very similar to Prior versions of the Apple watch Looking at the screen first you've got a Wide angle OLED screen with ionic glass That's curved further so the idea being That you can see the watch better from

An angle and you obviously have this Larger display area all around the Display will also show more in always on Mode so you can see things like the Seconds ticking even if you haven't got The screen awake the watch is now a Millimeter thinner than PRI models it's 9.7 mm thick for both the 42 and 46 mm Watch and it does feel nobly thinner on The wrist compared to the Apple Watch Series 9 and definitely the Apple watch Ultra which is you know a much bigger Watch all around the watch comes in Aluminium and titanium and there are Three colors which are rose gold a Silver aluminium and jet black which is The color I've been testing you still Got that two button design one of which Is a rotating dial there's no action Button here like you get on the Apple Watch Ultra the speaker on the watch can Now play music and other media whereas In the past it was kind of linked to Your phone to do that and you've also Now got a depth gauge and temperature Sensor in the water on the Apple Watch Series 10 you've got the tides app now As well and you can snorkel with it and Stuff like that and another big new Feature on the Apple Watch series 10 is That it can now detect sleep apnea and Breathing disturbances during the night Battery life remains very much the same 18 hours uh for overall use although it

Does tend to last a bit longer than that In my experience and then you get 7 Hours of workout time which will Obviously come down if you're listening To music or anything like that you don't Get multiband GPS on the series 10 which You do get on the appat ultra 2 but it Does have kind of an all systems GPS Mode which is still pretty accurate you Have got faster charging on the new Watch even though the battery life Remains the Same you can charge it to 80% in just 30 minutes and then there's A slate of new features that have come To the Apple watch this year in general To past models as well through the watch OS 11 software update some really big Stuff in there form Runners including a New training load feature where you rate Your effort score for each workout the Watch will suggest an effort rating as Well but you rate it yourself and this Will build into a kind of a short-term And long-term training load on the watch There also the new vitals app and you Can do things like pause your activity Rings or set different activity targets Different days which obviously good for Running if you have a rest day and you Actually don't want to be too active and That kind of thing there also more Rooting features and offline maps on the Watch now all of that coming in the Watch OS 11 update as

Well so starting with things that I've Liked about my time running with the Apple Watch series 10 I think the first Thing that really has stood out for me And I think it's the biggest change here Is that bigger display option that you Have now and I think you know when you Look at the of previous Apple watches And the leap from you know to the Apple Watch Ultra the ultra 2 it's a pretty Radical kind of change in terms of that Size in terms of that stat in terms of That you know size of watch you know Having that on your wrist I think with The series 10 it's you know growing that Um you know screen size is done in a More subtle way it's very much in Keeping with the design of previous Apple watches but giving you that extra Screen without really feeling like it's Putting a hulking watch on your wrist I Think that's test what Apple has done Here and you I really do appreciate Having that larger screen here I think You know having your metrics you know Spread across a bigger display I think Particularly from a kind of racing Perspective you know using Fe features That I really like on the Apple watch And kind of watch you know kind of the Interval training and building interval Training plans on the watches you know He really nice and know really giving You know those third party apps you know

More screen to kind of spread out across I think that's can only be a positive Thing for me and I said that ultimately You know doesn't feel that as radical a Jump from the Apple watch Ultra 2 and I Think if you like the idea of an Apple Watch series watch with a bigger display It doesn't feel like a bigger display I Think that's what you get with your Series 10 ultimately I think the other Thing for me I think I think you know From a GPS and heart rate monitoring Performance has been very solid overall I would say that it hasn't been Impeccable in all areas but I think Ultimately has been very good for me and I think for a lot of people and a lot of Runners the run tracking experience is Going to be very good and the accuracy Is going to be very good I think you Know when I've kind of gone a little bit Deeper into it looked at it against you Know the best kind of running watches or Smart watches it has dropped or fell off A little bit in terms of accuracy but I Think you know I would say the heart Rate mon performance has been better for Me than the ultra ra and the ultra 2 and I kind of put that really down to the Size of the watch and the ultra just Been a bigger watch for me so I think You know if you care about very good run Tracking uh accuracy I think it is very Good is it the best from an Apple Watch

I don't think it is but I think it is Still very good and it would be good Enough I think for most Runners I think The other thing for me and it's a flip Side of the battery life not being Fantastic is that the rate of charging Is better and I think ultimately that's Kind of Apple's way of saying we know we Don't give you great battery life but What we're going to do is give you Faster charging rates I think ultimately When you do kind of run low on battery Life you know it doesn't take long to Give you enough battery to get out and Go running it again give you enough to Get through that day again you know That's you know I think is a is a nice Kind of um you know compromise in terms Of the battery life you know General is Not going to be the best that you're Going to get on Apple watch but Ultimately you are going to get faster Charging rates and it's more notice what Those faster charging rates do kind of Give you that Quick bump up compared to Previous Apple watches so yeah those Have really been things that stood out For me in my time running with the Apple Watch series 10 now when it comes to the List of things I really like about this Watch the heart rate and GPS performance Is right up there in my test it's been Excellent for the GPS the lack of dual Frequency doesn't seem to have impacted

The accuracy my marathon and half Marathon tests the Apple Watch series 10 Match the Apple watch Ultra 2 for the Overall distances and when you dig Deeper into the GPS tracks the Apple Watch series 10 performs as well as the Apple watch Ultra 2 it was also great at Locking my move when did the track test From Lane one to Lane 8 on the track and Generally you're getting good Precision Here when it comes to Optical heart rate Performance the story is much the same The Apple Watch series 10 match the Polar h10 chest trap virtually beat for Beat in the half and Marathon tests I Also did a long run with some strides or Faster interval efforts at the end of That run and the Apple Watch series 10 Nailed the changes in intensity about as Well as I've seen any Optical heart rate Perform so on both those things a big Thumbs up the upshot the Apple Watch Series 10 offers excellent accuracy for Heart rate and GP PS up there certainly With the Apple watch Ultra 2 and Garmin's premium dual frequency running Watches now while the battery is shorter Than most rival running watches the Apple Watch series 10 secret weapon I Think is the fast charge this watch Charges faster than its predecessors and Shoots to 80% from zero in just 30 Minutes plus you can get 8 hours from 15 Minutes on the plug that's super quick

Intest the fast charge was lightning Quick and with strategic topups you can Almost alleviate all of the battery life Anxiety with a couple of hours training And medium usage outside side of that I Found I tended to easily get 24 hours From the series 10 on a single charge Here are some other headline stats as Well that might be of interest too 1 Hour run burned 6 to 7% a 90 minute half Marathon burned 11% a 3 and 1 half hour Marathon burned 26% the average Overnight battery burn was 177% that's Quite High General usage was 1 and 1/2 Days with 1 and 1 half hours GPS runtime I really approve of the fact that Apple Has added training load but it's really How they've done it that I like I'm a Big fan of the fact they've added this e Rating which is basically a simple Post-run subjective assessment that lets You adjust Apple's automatic scores Based on your own perceived effort of How hard the workout was if you don't Want to add your own Apple automatically Estimates the effort levels and feeds That into the overall training load but It's really quick and easy to input your Own rpe this adds crucial context to the Training load readout that you can't get From heart rate alone it lets you factor In things like how muscle sess or a long Day at work may have made that run feel Harder than your heart rate suggests now

I'd really love to see some long-term RP Trend charts as well so you can see how You know your effort feelings change Over time also I think that would be Very handy now while I like the robust Ruggedness of the Apple watch Ultra 2 That feels like a nice solid watch on Your wrist at 9.7 Ms this Slimmer Lighter design of the Apple Watch series 10 definitely makes it one of the Easiest watches to wear 24/7 it really Helps you Taps into that sort of 24/7 Health and sleep features like the Breathing disturbances uh the alerts for That the sleep R detection all of those Things sleep tracking coming from Testing bulkier watches I found this Watch virtually vanished by comparison On the wrist the difference is more Subtle though against something like the Apple Watch series 9 which is 10.7 Ms It's definitely not enough I think to Warrant an upgrade but it is a nice Light comfortable watch which will Definitely suit smaller risks so moving Into the run test and first going Through the stuff I really liked about Testing out the Apple Watch series 10 First of which is very much the new Design the thinner watch a bigger screen It's just lovely to wear it's really Lightweight really comfortable you know It's got that kind of Barely There Feeling especially compared to lots of

The watch we've been testing lately Which are big chunky sports watches or The Apple watch Ultra 2 the Garmin Phoenix a watches like that they're Really big you notice them on the wrist And the Apple Watch series 10 has a much Lighter feel on there which you know is Really nice it makes it nice to wear all The time the screen is really bright It's huge it really shows off you know All the lovely stuff on the watch so the New design is undoubtedly a very big Plus with the Apple Watch series 10 I Think it is an upgrade on past models Even though they do still very much Mostly look the same and I did really Like the design of the series 9 you have Now got a slightly better one with the Series 10 and then the new training load Feature on the Apple watch this is Obviously a plus across the Apple watch Ecosystem for the watches that can get It I do like the way that Apple watch Has done training load I've been testing It for a long time in kind of with beta Access and that kind of thing and Although it is quite a simplistic way of Doing it where you rate your workouts Yourself you know the watch will provide A rating But ultimately you have the Last say that is something I quite like It does take all of the errors that can Be introduced by watches out of the Equation for example if you get really

Bad heart rate or GPS or something like That you can get up with skewed training Load metrics on other watches it's why I Nearly always pair an external sensor on Using a Garmin or polar or something Like that because if the heart rate data Is off the whole training load analysis On the watch will will go wrong as well Because of that one bad workout whereas With the Apple watch you obviously rate It yourself you can go back and change The rating if a few hours later you Realize you worked a bit harder than you Thought you did and it's all presented Very well the graphs are quite nice it's Just a really nice way of doing it and While you know it's not as advanced as a Training analysis you'll get on other Watches which you do things like suggest Workouts they can you know really be a Bit more active Apple has I think Purposely taken quite a passive approach With training load and I do think it Works well so yeah I think it's a nice Feature to have on the watch and it does You know help to make you think about How hard you work in your workouts one Another very standard Plus for the Apple Watch that's been the same with the Series 10 is the App Store there are Some problems with the watch which I'm Going to go into and the dislikes a lot Of them can be remedied through apps Like workout doors and uace and footpath

And other really good you know third Party apps that are out there and many Of them only exist in the Apple Ecosystem I do think it's got a much Better app store for this kind of sporty Stuff than Android watches I've tested So it's certainly a big plus here I also Would say that the heart rate accuracy Has been really quite good for me on the Watch I tend to have this experience With apple watches especially the series Ones because they're small they sit very Nicely on the wrist and I think the Optical heart rate sensor is very good And generally they're very accurate Usually they're a bit inaccurate for me At the very start of runs the first few Minutes then they do lock onto my heart Rate and stay with it for most of the Run from then on Precision start would Definitely help with that because I do Think you're just starting a workout the Heart rate sensor maybe is not quite Engaged and ready for you to start Running so that might be one reason why The heart rate isn't always great at the Start of a run with the applewatch Series 10 but overall I do think it's Been pretty accurate for me across my Runs So first dislike for me of the Apple Watch series 10 is kind of a half Dislike because the GPS ACC the watch is Still very good it's just notably not as

Good for me as I've seen from the best Dual band watches including the Apple Watch Ultra and you know Gins Phoenix And 4 965 watches and that kind of thing But not just those very expensive Watches but actually you know if you Look at dual band watches at around the Apple watch's price or cheaper than it Like the chorus Pace 3 I do think you Get an uptick in GPS accuracy I've Noticed this you know with several runs Like it just tends to cut a few more Corners the series 10 it also tends to You know just miss things that you do Get on other watches like when I did a Race in Scotland on a 10K like it was Quite minor stuff overall but it would Have me going through a roundabout Instead of running around it and stuff Like that so I do think you do lose a Little bit of GPS accuracy compared to The Apple watch Ultra another du BL Watches it's not a big loss I would say But it is something I noticed on my runs And as someone who is very very Obsessive about GPS it would be Something that put me off it compared to Something like the ultra and then the Other things that difference to the Appat ultra are definitely annoyances as Well like I understand not having extra Button on the series 10 I guess the Design the form factor doesn't allow for It in the same way it does with the

Apple watch Ultra perhaps but not having Precision start on this watch I think is I mean you should have that for runs you Should be able to see the GPS is locked On and your heart rate is locked on Before you start a run it's a very small Software change that I think should be Brought to the series 10 and you know It's not something that really separates The ultra but it is annoying can just Fix this by using a third party app like All of them will have a Precision start Mode where you know you wait see all Your sensors are connected and that kind Of thing workout doors will even show You if your sensor is connected within The app which is very helpful because Otherwise you're not necessarily always Sure with the Apple watch so yeah just Just be there I think and I think it is A little bit annoying that it isn't and Obviously not having that button means On the run it is still quite hard to Take a lap sometimes with the Apple Watch series 10 like with third party Apps you can set the buttons If you Press both of them at the same time to Take a lap and you can double tap the Screen to take a you know Mark a segment On the watch but it's just a little bit Harder and it is a kind of thing that if It's going to be a serious running watch Which I do think it is I do think this Is a very capable sports watch it's just

The kind of thing that will annoy a lot Of Runners several times a week that It's a little bit hard to take a lap and If you go and do 10 times 400s and miss The buttons once cuz it's quite hard to Do it when you're pressing two buttons Instead of one it's just something that Makes it harder to use than other sports Watches another thing that can be fixed By third party apps but Apple's Improving its routing with the offline Maps and having Roots available but the Fact you have to swap between apps to See them during a run just you know it's No good to me like I don't want to be Swapping between my workout app and the Maps app to follow a route while Tracking a workout again workout doors Foot path uace all these apps can have a Map within the workout app you can see Your stats whilst also seeing the map Hopefully that'll be the case with the Workouts app next time Apple does a Software update it's certainly something That it feels like they're working Towards and the battery life you know Every time we do an Apple Watch series Review or even the Apple watch Ultra Review we're going to talk about the Battery life as a negative you know it Will reliably last you a day it lasts Longer than the 18 hours Apple says I Think that's you know a quite a Conservative estimate from them like

Even if you do a long run you'll get Through that time unless you're going For a really long run listening to music The whole time it's going to last a day You know the 7 hours workout tracking Means it will cover most runs most Marathons but you know it's still a pain Having to charge it every day and it Just means if you're going for a trip It's just something else to think about You know where's my charger got to Charge this every day am I going to get Through the trip if I want to track my Sleep I've got to charge it you know Just for going to bed or during the day Sometime so yeah battery life will Always be a bit of a negative something You can certainly work with and Obviously it's a high powerered watch Doing a lot of stuff in a very thin Frame it makes sense the battery life Going be amazing but it is just Something that you have to deal with a Lot and that's not very fun couple Things I'm not so sure about then and While the rapid charge is a huge help in Offsetting the shorter battery life of The Apple watch in general the battery Life is notably much shorter than most Regular running watches and you are Going to notice that it's still a Tradeoff where you're basically swapping All the wonderful daily life smarts and The excellent screen for a shorter

Overall battery lifespan that you're Going to get on the Apple watch with Many other running watches you almost Don't have to think about charging with The Apple Watch series 10 you very much Do I also think that the single stinct Staying power will leave some people Wanting a bit more than you're going to Get here it's great to have offline maps Here on the Apple Watch series 10 I find The phone experience of creating a route Pretty straightforward and simple but Overall I do find Apple's native rooting Tools they're a little bit disjointed And disconnected from the main workout Experience in a different way to that You'd find on a Garmin where it all Feels like part of one thing you're Doing you can follow routes that you've Run before from the workout screen but For new Roots you still have to open up That Maps app and then jump between that And the run app during a workout there Are obviously third party apps that can Combine a run mode and routing together Kute for example but I really find I Want to open the run app that native Apple run app choose a route to follow And get going all in one place and That's still not here at the moment While I like how simple is to customize The metrics on the workout screens if I Drop to a fewer stats on screen so you Drop down from the five that you can

Have down to say one two or three I want Those stats to be bigger and right now You just use up less of the screen so The stats stay small you can't Prioritize stats in the way that I would Really like and then also coming from The Apple watch Ultra 2 I actually Really missed the action button for Quickly starting a workout it's a really Small thing when it came I wasn't really Convinced that it was a huge deal but It's one of my main interactions with The Apple watch and I wasn't until I Went back to using the series 10 without That button I realized just how much I Noticed not having it to do that kind of Quick start workout kind of you leap Straight in it's just a bit more fiddly When you're using the Apple Watch series 10 it is something that you notice and You miss so into the things I haven't Absolutely loved about my time with the Apple Watch series 10 I think the first Thing is really kind of a longstanding Thing for me with apple watches in General and that has been the bachy life Now I would say that with the Apple Watch Ultra 2 the battery life has been More manageable for me I would say with A series 10 I think you know I found I've been charging it more regularly I Think maybe perhaps more than the kind Of smaller Apple watches I've tested in The past um and I think also when you

Look at the kind of GPS battery life Numbers as well to it's obviously Shorter than the watch Ultra 2 which is Kind of no big surprise but it isn't you Know you're not getting huge amounts of GPS battery here on the series 10 so I Think that would be the big thing for me I have found I've been charging it more Than a regular basis um I think the Other thing for me probably slly more Disappointing is that it doesn't have That kind of precision start dualband GPS mode here that you get on the ultra 2 and I think given the fact that it has Got bigger as a watch I kind of maybe Thought that it would get added what I Do find the GPS performance and the General accuracy the metrics attached to It have been very solid overall the fact It didn't kind of get that I you know I Felt was a little bit disappointing for Me ultimately but maybe you know given What I've said about the back battery Life having that dual band mode may have Impacted the battery life a bit more and It's kind of maybe what it's been Reserved for and will be reserved for The ultra watch for the time being I Think the other thing for me is you know Looking at the level of training Analysis uh and the kind of insights You're getting um from a kind of running Perspective I do think is improving I do Think there's some aspects of the

Training features that you get on an Apple Watch through watch OS I do think It's very good and in some you know Circumstan are better than some sports Watches but I think if you compare it to You know what Garmin offers you what Polo cinto kind of offers you on on that Front out of the box kind of natively I Think you're getting more from those Kind of sports watches but I do think It's getting better on the series 10 and Watch OS but I do think in terms of you Know things I can glance at you know From my watch now do I have that here on The series tannel I've had that Experience I would say possibly not Really uh as I said getting better but I Think you know those are things that I've kind of I'm not absolutely loved my Time with with the series [Music] 10 so my vit is on the Apple Watch Series 10 and I think first and foremost Whether this is the best Apple watch to Track your runs I say my answer to that Is no I would still be going for the Apple watch Ultra 2 and I put that down To a couple of things I think first and Foremost the battery life inside and Outside of tracking is better and I Think crucially it has that Precision Start dual band GPS mode and it is one Of the best examples of that dual band GPS mode on any sports watch or smart

Watch that you can buy right now and if You crave that GPS accuracy then that is Ultimately what you're going to get from The ultra 2 I think if you look at it From kind of older Apple watches and Whether it is a necessary upgrade you Know I haven't used a series 9 I used The series 8 was the last kind of series Uh Watch series that I've Ed and I think You know in terms of the Experience the series 9 and the series 8 In terms of GPS and heart rate it's not That hugely different and I think really The biggest benefits I think from a Running perspective is going to be that Bigger display and it has been nicer to Use I think particularly from a kind of Running uh or racing perspective I Should say and kind of glancing down at Your stats and I think using some of Those kind of improved features that You're getting from a running Perspective on the Apple watch and kind Of watch OS I think particularly the Kind of interval support which you know I think is the best on any um kind of Smart watch or sports watch I've used And and that would be the big win Ultimately because I think the battery Life it's probably going to be better on Those smaller watches I think you're Going back be Beyond those older you Know those apple watches the eight and N I think you know it's probably worthy of

An upgrade for that screen the added um Display that you're getting on the Series 10 over the series 9 and the Series 8 so if we're looking outside of Apple's own Smartwatch collection and Looking at what the alternatives are to The series 10 when you look at how much It costs and obviously I've been testing The larger series 10 which kind of puts Up against things like the Gin 4265 the Garmin venue 3 um also things I think You could put in there is the cinto race S um and so yeah there are options Outside of the series 10 I think what I Would say is if you are looking for a You know the ideal combination of Smartwatch and running watch I think the Series 10 is probably a better option Alternative to those watches I think if You talk about something like the 4265 which um you know ultimately out of The box I think office a little bit more And says a kind of training analysis um You know kind of features and also You're getting that kind of dual band or Multiband GPS as Garmin refers to it Also better battery life in general um You know with a watch that has an AM Display I think the venue obviously Doesn't you know match up in that sense It's a bit more of a smartwatch lack Some of those um you know features like Those kind of added training analysis um And metrics that you get on the 265 and

Also that dual band GPS as well too but Again it is a AMOLED kind of Garmin Smartwatch that kind of works very well As a running watch and offers good batch Life as well I think also Sun races is Worth mentioning here again it probably Isn't as slick a smartwatch but in terms Of having an display having you know a Great kind of GPS um kind of heart rate You know General kind of training um Performance it's very very good offers Good battery life as well overall that Would be an option to look at as well Too um but you know ultimately my Experience with the Ser 10 has been very Good you know hasn't been as good as you Know my experience with the ultra 2 but It hasn't been far off and been very Happy with a lot of the aspects I've got Having that bigger display and overall I Think if you are looking for a running Watch or an Apple Watch that can work as Your running watch then absolutely this Is an option that you can go for I think Uh and proves you don't have to spend You know bigger on the Apple watch Ultra 2 but if you crave that better GPS Accuracy better battery life performance Then I would be G for the Apple watch Ultra too when it comes to the verdict It's kind of the usual report on the Apple watch for me when a new model Comes out it's the best apple watch yet There's some important new features and

Some nice new design upgrades here and It's an upgrade on previous models of The watch it's not one that you'd Necessarily have to rush to upgrade Because I do think the biggest things That have come to the Apple Watch series 10 are the software upgrades like Training load which obviously you will Get on Prime models but the new design Is better than past models I really like The design I love looking at it I love Wearing it it's very light I think That's very impressive and then you have The usual kind of pitfalls with the Series 10 that you don't get with sports Watches or the Apple watch Ultra the lap Button very short battery you know just Some harder things about not having a Precision start and things like that so Third party apps will remedy lots of That stuff but there are still parts of The design that make it a slightly Harder to use as a running watch than The Apple watch Ultra or indeed sportier Watches if you are picking between this And the Apple watch Ultra 2 I would lean Towards the Apple watch Ultra 2 if you Are a serious Runner there are just Enough quality of life improvements There that make it an easier watch to Use the Dual Band GPS is better it's a Really accurate watch I think the Apple Watch Ultra 2 having a lap button is Important Precision start is important

And it just means you get more from the Native app and it also works better with Third party apps because you've got that Dual band tracking as well so I do think It is a step up and the two-day battery Life is quite a big Improvement like It's only 2day still it's still shorter Than most sports watches but the Apple Watch Ultra 2 I find a lot easier to fit In a quick charging session over the Course of that 48 hour period than I do Over 24 hours with the Apple Watch Series 10 so I think it is a big enough Upgrade that as a runner I would be Looking at the Apple watch Ultra too This is still a very good running watch If you can learn to live with the slight Kind of annoyances and quibbles I have With it and just deal with it on its own Terms it's a very good running watch and Certainly a very good watch for casual Running whilst being an amazing Smartwatch but yeah the ultra 2 is a big Upgrade and you certainly can look at Sports watches around its price or Higher that uh you know are offering a Bit more so mid-range AMOLED sports Watches you look at things like the Garmin 4 on a 265 the sunto race s even You know you are going to get a better Native Sports tracking experience more In-depth training load analysis and that Kind of thing you know Apple starting Out on that journey I do think it's

Training load stuff is very good I like The way they do it but if you want a Slightly more detailed analysis a Slightly more active analysis that I'll Give you maybe a bit of advice here and There you're going to find more of that On sports watches I still having tested A few Android watches I haven't tested The Samsung Galaxy Ultra but in general I do think the Apple watch is a lot Better as a running watch than the Android watches I have tested I just Prefer the user experience I think the Native worker apps a lot more developed I think Apple's done a much better job On things like training load as well so I prefer it to those watches but yeah There are certainly still annoyances Here that you don't get with more Traditional sports watches you just lose All the smart stuff you get with the Apple watch but overall a watch I very Much enjoyed testing I don't think it's When you have to rush to upgrade to you Are getting some really nice upgrades With the new software on the Apple watch In general but it is a nice design and It is a little bit of an improvement on Past models and then the same kind of Good stuff and bad stuff Remains the Same kind of good stuff and bad stuff With the Apple Watch series 10 than it Did with the series 9 verdict then and For me the Apple watch is never going to

Rival the dedicated sports watch muscle Of watches like Garmin coros and polar But with each update to the hardware and To watch OS the Apple watch becomes a Better running partner even more so if You factor in the wide array of third Party apps that really beef up the Running credentials of the Apple Smartwatch in a way that those other Core running watch brands don't they Still don't match them in terms of apps And breadth of tools now the Watch Series 10 nudges things along nicely With a lighter smaller wrist friendly Feel the training load and mapping Upgrades are very welcome if not Particularly groundbreaking most of the Rivals here have done these things for a Long time the sharp display does well to Add real estate to rival the Apple watch Ultra 2 without adding any unwanted he Though I think the difference between Though is minor when you're looking at It if you're a iPhone owner or a paid up Member of the iOS club and you want a SmartWatch with a good selection of Running smarts the Apple watch 10 really Has a lot to offer particularly if you Also want a watch that's more Comfortable to wear 24/7 if you're Willing to dig into the third party apps There's more than enough tracking Training and racing tools here I think To satisfy most Runners needs however

The battery life is undeniably short up Against the running watch Rivals but That's offset nicely by the super fast Rapid charge if you're disciplined with Smaller regular timely top-ups you can Nullify the problem of that sort of Shorter battery life still for Ultra Runners multi-day adventurers and Forgetful lazy Chargers like me I think The Apple watch Ultra 2 probably remains A better bet more battery life there or Watch is outside of this likewise if you Want a more robust Hefty Adventure ready Smartwatch the Apple watch Ultra 2 is Definitely that watch from the Apple Lineup if you own an Apple Watch series 9 you probably don't need to upgrade Here there's not a huge amount of change If you're were a few Generations back or A newcomer then I think that enough here Over the past watch generations to make It a good starting point for jumping Into the Apple watch [Music] World that's our review of the Apple Watch series 10 let us know what you Think in the comments below please do Like and subscribe ring the little bell And we'll see you next time
