Hey people welcome to the run test it's Kier and here it is an absolutely Wonderful bright October day at the end Of October here in London I have got my Feet in the aex super Blast 2 finally And I am going to go and take these for A marathon test to see how they stack up When you try and push them over 26.2 I Know they're an option that some people Might be considering the way that I'm Going to do this test today won't be an Allout Marathon I wouldn't pick them for A ratio but what I want to find out is If I'm cruising the marathon probably Just a little bit lower than my Marathon Pace and also I'm expecting to hang the Last 6 miles how these shoes fa over That so if you're looking for a Comfortable shoe that's just going to Look after you over the 26.2 are the Super Blast 2 a good shoe for that I Think all the feedback so far from a lot Of the runners who put their feet and Them we'll probably say yes but I want To go and find out so we're going to go Run the street of London and put the ax Super Blast 2 to the marathon test [Music] So I'm actually 7 miles in just waiting To cross a big busy road here the A6 Super last 2 so far have been bang on so The early miles I felt a bit tired Needed something to help me Ease Into The Run and I just got into a really

Nice kind of smooth happy cruising Pace Very very quickly they felt relatively Effortless once I ticked up to kind of 8 Minute mile pace and after four or five Miles I found that I was actually Running a bit faster than I thought I Would today and they're really helping The atic super blast just keep that Cruising Pace that momentum that's kind Of smooth transitions there's enough Softness but there's enough bounce Coming back there's enough energy which Is just helping me flow through I feel Great in them today the only time that I Haven't felt you know 100% bang on when I'm going a bit slower I do find them a Little bit Slappy they can feel a bit Big at times I think when I'm up on my Kind of mid to 4 foot I think that's Kind of eases off because you're Connecting with less of the shoe but if You're Landing further back I do find You can hear them slapping and there's a Bit more shoe than I would usually go For but I think really the key here is Just settling into that pace that you Could hold and they are helping me do That so far 7 miles have ticked over Really quickly the Comfort on the foot Is great so far I've got nice roomy toe Box they're holding well in the heels They feel nicely locked down there's Plenty of wiggle room all of that stuff Is really good as well and they're

Running like a dream basically they're Exactly what you would want to be kind Of cruising you through those early sort Of miles of a marathon so any we're Going to try and get across this big Road now crack into the middle bit of The marathon and then we'll update you a Bit later on [Music] 14 miles in I've just stopped to get Some water and that last stretch I guess 6 7 Mi the AIC super Blast 2 one word I've got about them is consistent the Ride the energy the stability cushioning Comfort everything it's just Consistently good solid I don't like it That much when I'm moving at a bit of Slower Pace I'm not 100% keen on it I Think they're are better shoes I just Like something that's a bit more Immediate to me there's a little bit of Sogginess in it when you're going at Your slowest paac and heaviest but when You get up and cruise it's it's wicked And it's got such good consistency Throughout it's just helping me cruise Through those miles justat them off you Know relatively sort of steady and um in Good comfort really happy so yeah that's It from that section get into water Consistency is what I'm saying for the Ax superl 2 [Music] Quick word with 5 and 1/ half miles to

Go then my Pace has dropped quite Considerably The Seer set in as expected Um so I'm running a bit more ragged a Bit more slow everything's a bit more Tired I need to find some water and some Energy and that is when you kind of find Out what a marathon trainer can do for You you in real terms when you're really Suffering or when you know when things Aren't going quite as well a lot of Shoes can run well when you're moving Well but it's what happens when you're Not well that really interests me and That's where the super blast here of That consistency really kicks in still They are still effortlessly comfortable There is no road coming up through I've Got no foot fatigue which can really Happen when you get to this point it's Just cushion protective just a little Bit of energy and it's going to do a job I can feel it's going to help me just Going to cushion me all the way around These last few miles so yeah that's a Happy thing we'll finish off with a rra When we get back so 5 and 1 half miles To go I'll come in just under 4 hours The Marathon distance which is a good Indication of how these shoes might hold Up for somebody if you look at that kind Of time but anyway let's get on Finishing the job [Music] Marathon test done then in the aex super

Blast 2 that's the longest I've run in These shoes I was out there for 4 hours Kind of a mix of PES actually put in Some quicker miles towards the end but Generally it's like my cruising Pace Basically so this would be yeah it's Slower than marathon pace but still tick It along nicely got 8 Minute miles for Me I did push up and I think I had some Sort of sevens in there as well I didn't Quite go up to kind a my full marathon Pace in that but that wasn't the point Of the test the test I really wanted to See how these shoes held up for exactly That just like a 4H hour cruise and what I really wanted to know is what You' got The difference between the first 6 miles The middle 13 or whatever 14 and then The last six miles and really how those Shoes hold up when you get when tired And things are ragged and it's more Difficult towards the end which I think Is a real It's a real Testament to a shoe and you Know as I said back there in the video Along the way so what you're really Getting is loads of cushioning here but It can be feel a little bit soggy I Think a little bit soft when you're Going at the really slow Paces but for Most of those miles and most of those Paces that I was running it's just got a Really nice balance to it it's got a big Wide platform there's a bit of energy to

It it doesn't sink too much but it does Just take away the edge of the road you Know you don't really feel the road at All there and compared to the test I did A little while back in the adios Pro 4 Which is obviously a more aggressive More direct you know shoe it's just a Bit more a shoe that's going to require You to attack these are just cruising Comfort by comparison it's just Absolutely lovely and they you know they Cradled me they looked after me they Protected me no foot fatigue coming up To the end there I think consistency as I said is the main thing you getting the Same ride throughout this from start to Finish and it's a ride that is just Really reliable really really sort of Comfortable as good feel on the feet and Yeah you just know or now I do anyway After having done that this shoes got You right to the very end the Interesting thing is actually I last Couple of miles I felt like I had a Little bit more energy and I pushed it Up a bit and the shoes gave back and They still respond when you want to go Fast as well if you want to give them a Little bit more they will give back and That's a really interesting thing Because they've got you if you're not Running well but they've also got you if You are and that's Testament to a really Good shoe I think if you're a 4our plus

Marathon runner or bit heavier or you Know you're just going to be out there And you want to head your bets on the Day about how you're going to race and Run or you just know it's not going to Be your day even even the train hasn't Gone right and you just want to shoot It's going to look after you over the Marathon distance this is a great shoe You know in the marathon test I did have The Nike Pegasus 41 I kind of said that As well about the peg 41 these are Better than the peg 41 for that there's Just more protection some people might Not get on with the fact they are a bit Of a bigger shoe they don't feel heavy On the foot and I didn't notice the Weight you know all the size really most Of that Marathon distance you know they Don't feel necessarily like they're Getting in the way they do disappear Into the background so yeah I think if That's you if you're in the market for a Shoe that's going to look after you four Five six 7 hour marathon you just want Guaranteed cushion protection it's going To give you a little bit of energy then Having done the marathon test I think The ASX super plus 2 are definitely a Shoe worth looking at the good news is They will also cover you in a lot of Your training up to that Marathon Distance although they're 200 I would Say there's good value here if you're

Going to buy one shoe and use it for Everything from training through to Racing uh yeah anyway as ever I'm now Tired I need a drink I need some food And I might do a little update back in The office but that has been my Marathon Test of the aex super Blast 2 around London in what has been an absolutely Glorious day here in October um probably Not so great for climate change but There you go
