Welcome to the channel everyone as Pretty Boy Rob cleans up these muddy Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement” in the latest episode of Shoe Care Academy.
To get the best clean possible out of these, Rob will be showcasing the Signature Shoe Cleaning Kit, as these Air Jordan 3s are absolutely COOKED.

Before the dirty cleaning, Rob dry brushes the shoe outside to remove the initial layer of dirt and grime before wetting it.
First step is to insert the shoe tree and remove the laces. You only need two squirts of solution into the bowl as it’s highly concentrated. Then, it’s time to move on to the Soft Bristle Brush.
The Air Jordan 3 is an iconic member of the Jordan shoe line, originally releasing in 1988 and having plenty of colorways and releases since then. The “Black Cement” Air Jordan 3 specifically has seen a plehota of retros including 1994, 2001, 2008, 2018, and 2024.
The Soft Brush is the perfect tool as it won’t fray or snag the elephant print, a key detail on these Jordan 3s.
Before moving on to the next brush, Rob removes the shoe tree and insole for a deeper clean. Again, the Soft Brustke Brush will be your best friend.
The Medium Bristle Brush is perfect to get all of the trapped mud off the upper and small areas.
To clean the outsoles, the Stiff Bristle Brush will do just the trick. However, since it is a painted midsole, we advise not using the Stiff Bristle Brush on the midsole area as it could potentially chip away at the paint.
As for the laces, the pro-tip is to throw them into the bowl of water & solution and swish them around. Then, just scrub them in your hands. Your microfiber towel can also be a great way to clean them.
It’s time to get these prepped in our sneaker laundry bag along with the laces for a deep clean. Be sure to use our sneaker laundry detergent pods and wash on a normal cycle with cold water.
While the shoes are in the washer, Rob pulls out Vick Almighty’s “What The Cement” project, where he combined the Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement” and the Air Jordan 4 “Bred” colorway into a wild Fusion.
Now that the shoes are cleaned and dried, Rob will perfect the elephant print since it is a suede material by using our Dry Suede kit to spot clean.

In today's Video, we're going to be cleaning one of The most iconic sneakers of all time. If You can't tell under all this mud, dirt, And grime, these are the Black Cement 3es. These are the 2024 pair, and over The last 6 months or so, these have been One of my go-to sneakers. I mean, just Peep the feet. But serious though, these Jays have such a rich history in sneaker Culture. And in today's video, we're Going to dive a little into that as well As just showcase the best possible way On how to clean them up. So, make sure You guys stay tuned to the end of the Video because you never know, you might Just learn something new. With all that Being said, there's not much left to it But to do it. So, let's get straight Into this episode of Shoe Care Academy. Come On. In today's video, we will be Highlighting our signature shoe cleaning Kit because the production team straight Trash these things. I mean, there's mud On the inside out all about. So, we want To really use the patent launcher system To flush these things out. With that Said, I'm going to grab our signature Kit. Set that aside. Grab our left shoe.
Get that aside as well for that good Before and after purpose. And then we Can go ahead and set up our cleaning Station. Our signature shoe cleaning kit Will come with three different brushes. First and foremost, your soft bristle Brush, your all-purpose general brush. This will be great for the leather on This sneaker. And then the stiff bristle Brush to really take care of those out Soles. It's also going to come with Again that patent sneaker laundry System, which is our sneaker laundry Bag. You're also going to get a pair of Shoe trees, but for the sake of this Video, we only need one microfiber Towel, of course. 4 oz bottle of Rejuvenator cleaning solution. A couple Other products we are going to be Showcasing in today's video is going to Be our dry rack bowl combo. This is Going to act perfectly to store our Brushes as well as allow them to Properly drip dry. A lid for storing the Brushes plus a bowl of water. And as you Guys can already see, we got the mat Already laid down and that's going to Act as our cleaning surface to help Prevent a muddy murky mess. With all That being said, I think I'm ready to go Get this party started off. But I do Want to step outside and just bang off Some of this dust and dirt and mud so It's really not getting everywhere else.
So follow Me. Man, whoever did a mud run in these Things, I hope you guys got last place. But all right, guys. We are back from Outside. This mud is pretty solidified And caked on in here. We were able to Brush off all that loose dust and dirt That was sitting on the shoe. But again, This is pretty stuck in here. So, we got To get this cleaning party popping off. To do so, we're going to insert our Adjustable shoe tree and remove these Laces. All right, let's go ahead and Just grab these dusty black laces. Set Those aside. We'll take care of them a Little later on, but right now, I want To grab our cleaning solution and squirt Some squirts in our bowl of water. This Stuff is highly concentrated. We only Need about two squirts. To start things Off, we are grabbing our soft bristle Brush. This is the softest brush in our Arsenal. It's really just going to Generate the most bubbles throughout the Cleaning process. And from there, we can Proceed to some of those stiffer Brushes. So, here I go. The Air Jordan 3 was originally released In 1988 and it has seen several Re-releases since then with notable Retro versions from 1994, 2001, 2008, 2018, and most recently these 2024 Pairs. The Black Cement features a Classic colorway that combines black
Leather, gray accents, and red Highlights. The uppers are primarily Black with cement print on the heel and Toe, giving it a timeless look. The Elephant print/ cement print is a Distinct feature that has been Synonymous with the Air Jordan 3. It was One of the first times this graphic Detailing was ever used on a sneaker, But today you can see it on a bunch of Nike silhouettes. All right, guys. As I'm working through both sides, this Soft brush is really doing the job. This Brush is key because it's good on all Types of materials, especially this Elephant print. It's not going to fray Or snag. That's one thing that just Separates us from the competitors is we Have several different brushes to make Sure you get the right job on the right Material. All right, guys. These things Are super muddy. However, we were able To get most of that off just with the Soft bristle brush and microfiber towel. Before I rack the brush though, I want To get a deeper clean on the inside. So, Let me just go and grab the shoe tree Along with the insole. And I'll take Care of the insides using the soft Bristle brush as Well. Again guys, you really want to let The brush do the work. You don't need to Scrub all crazy. Just clean with grace And
Swagger. There you go. Now he can't take It Out. All right, guys. I know we're going To put these inside the washer, but you Still want to make sure you take your Time during that pre-cleaning. Make sure You get the insides, all nooks and Crannies, so that way when it is in the Washer, it just has less of a job it has To really do. Right now, we are jumping Over to the medium bristle brush. This Brush is going to work great. just Paying more attention to detail on these Uppers, especially cuz we got trapped in Mud almost everywhere, especially on This elephant print inside this air Bubble and all around the back heel tab And literally just inside every fine Section. So, let's get to Work. Pro tip for y'all. Grab a Microfiber towel. You can stick it Inside the air bubble. Get any trapped In mud out on both sides, of course. All Right, guys. I'm all done with our Medium bristle brush. Again, that brush Allowed me just to pay closer attention To detail and get just a deeper scrub on These uppers and midsoles. Before I jump Over to that stiff bristle brush, I got To talk to you a little bit more about This sneaker. If you guys didn't know, It was first introduced in 1988 by Tinker Hatfield. He's credited for that Air unit, plus even the Jumpman logo on
The tongue. But with that said, time for Me to take care of these outsoles using Our stiff bristle brush. So, let's get It. Let's go. All right, guys. I'm all done with that Stiff bristle brush. I was able to take Care of the outsole as well as this Rubber toe cap. I didn't use it on the Midsole because this sneaker is actually A painted midsole. There is a chance That this brush is stiff enough that it Could chip away if you are cleaning a Painted midsole. I'm not too worried About this pair cuz again they came out In 2024. But if you have an older shoe That has some chipping already, the Stiff bristle brush may be too hard. But Again, overall they're looking good. That toe cap is looking nice and bright And white. But I got to know from you Guys nowadays everyone's into that age Look. Are you rocking your threes with a Yellow toe cap or do you prefer them as White as possible? But with that said, Time for me to take care of these laces. All right, guys. As you can see, Swishing around is really just making Get all nice and sy. From here, you can Just grab your laces, put them between Your hands, and just start scrubbing. Dubdubbing. Can also grab your Microfiber towel and really just ring it Out. These laces are also going to get An extra wash inside the laundry system.
With that being said, we can just grab These laces, drop them inside our Laundry bag, and then we can put our Sneaker in the laundry bag as well. Our Laundry bag will hold two shoes up to a Size 12, but for the case of this video, We're only washing one shoe. All right, Guys. Checking in the laundry room. Before I drop these off in the washing Machine, I want to talk to you guys a Little bit about our laundry system. As You know, the shoe trees already inside The shoe. Right now, it's going to keep The form and integrity, not make the Shoe bend. Plus, the laundry bag are Going to keep your shoes safely secure So they're not banging around Everywhere. On top of all that, the bag Will act as an agitator. And when it's In the washer, it will just start Scrubbing your shoe to help you get that More effective clean. But again, time to Put them in the washer. Key thing is you Want to make sure you're using your Sneaker laundry detergent powered by Rejuvenator. You only need one pod. Drop It off. Make sure you're washing your Shoes with cold water on a normal cycle. Time to pull out. All right, guys. We're Back. The sneakers are still currently Drying, which means I got some time Today. Since we're cleaning the black Cement 3es, I want to showcase a little Project that Vic did a few weeks back.
It's the what the cements. He got these Customs plus the one spin in the back. We got the what the ammon. He also has The what the hairs and he's continuing This what the series where he creates All these crazy Frankenstein projects And he posts them on our channel. Again, Every Monday we got customs and Restorations with our dude Vic almighty. Plus, every Thursday we drop shoe Caremies. But with that said, let me go And grab those clean Shoes. All right, and just like that, I'm back. These sneakers are fully dry And clean as can be. However, one thing I want to highlight again, this elephant Print, it is a suede, so it is a little Crunchy as well as I do see some darker Stains throughout there. So, I did went Ahead and grabbed our dry suede kit, and I'm going to go ahead and just spot Clean the elephant print just to get a Deeper clean. So, let's hop on that Right Now. All right, guys. is when using our Suede eraser on the elephant print, you Don't want to scrub too hard. You really Just want to scrub back and forth and Let the eraser do the work cuz it does Have that deboss texture that in some Cases you may rub away. All right, guys. That's going to wrap it up for the dry Suede kit. I went ahead and spot cleaned The suede all around, plus used the
Brush to help kick off all those Shavings. Now, it's time to lace them Up. Man, these things are looking fresher Than when Michael Jordan wore them in 1988 in the All-Star game and he won That dunk competition. If you know, you Know.
