Inside this box is either one of the Best or worst reimagined Air Jordans of The year and I genuinely have no idea Which one it's going to be so let's Unbox this pair of sneakers and find out So this pair releases in the next couple Days I just grabbed this pair off of Goat instant ship uh and I spent more Than I probably should have especially Because I don't know how this shoe is Going to do on the resale Market it Could flop it could also not flop I'm Not sure there's so many unknowns with This shoe I really don't know what to Expect all right so by now you know it's A pair of Air Jordan 11s you've got the Air Jordan text and the Jumpman on the Top of this black lid you've got a I Guess of a silvery dark gray rest of the Box it's pretty plain pretty simple but That's kind of part for the course for Recent Air Jordan Els except for some of The special edition ones like the Gratitudes you've got the size tag this Is a women's pair of Air Jordan 11s so I Grabbed a size 10 and a half women's Rather than a size nine because I'm a Size nine in men's and women's are a Size and a half bigger you guys probably Know that by now but hey there you go if You didn't know and the official Colorway of this shoe is black gim red White so I guess without further Ado Let's unbox this pair of sneakers I'm
Excited to see it I haven't watched any Reviews I have I haven't really seen too Many pictures or at least official Images of this shoe so I don't know Whether I'm going to like this shoe so Let's find out together so first thing We've got inside the box is the goat Card you've got this uh white paper with Golden 23s and then here they are the Air Jordan 11 bread velvets now the Air Jordan 11 breads are my favorite pair of Air Jordan 11s of all time so that's Even the reason why I bought this pair Of shoes because honestly if it was any Other colorway of the Els I probably Wouldn't have bought it but because I Like the bread so much I was like you Know what let's take the risk Let's Do It um obviously you can't return to Goat So if I don't like these I'm going have To sell them for a loss or uh wear them I don't know they're I guess exactly What I should have expected from a Velvet pair of Air Jordan 11s the entire Upper is Velvet like completely velvet Except for the the straps holding the Laces in place I don't want to get too Deep into the review because I want to Do a full review uh later on in this Video once I try this pair of shoes on But first impressions I don't think They're for me I'll be honest they smell Like Jordans which is probably glue and
Rubber um they do smell like Jordans Which I I'd like that smell so I don't Know why I'm hating on it I really do Like the smell of Jordans I do kind of Wonder how they do in the rain I don't Want to test that but I'm interested to See how they would do all right so at This point why don't we take these Outside see how they fit see how they Look on foot because I'm really Interested in that and I guess decide Whether I should end up keeping these or Sell them cuz I really don't know all Right so I've got a new pair of shoes to Show you and because you are a woman I Want to get your feminine perspective Because this is technically a women's Release oh okay so Air Jordan 11 bread However they've switched out the patent Leather and the uh ballistic nylon for Velvet so it's an entirely velvet Air Jordan 11 bread so it's the same exact Color way except with velvet instead of Any other material I can give you a Closeup too if you want to get a it's Interesting I definitely was like when You pulled them out I was like my eye Wanted it to be patent leather oh really But I guess cuz I'm just used to seeing The other one gotcha gotcha but I mean It's different does it feel more Feminine to you I don't I don't think so That material is very like unisex at Least these days don't you think I don't
Know how to feel I I want to know how They do in the rain but I also don't Want to test them oh well that's true of I mean anytime that it doesn't feel like Good Velvet though like it doesn't like Look at that it doesn't I mean I don't Know what good Velvet feels like but I Don't think it feels like that then Again I've never had like a velour suit Or a velvet suit or whatever it's a I Mean it's a sneaker versus like an like A a suit I mean it's different I Wouldn't I to me that's not they're not Super feminine because of the material Change though would you what would you Give them out of 10 really like the Patent leather on okay on the other one High at like a eight or a nine and That's for the patent leather You' give I guess these have to be more like a six Or a seven right well that really is the Only change other than the lace tips Being red so they should fit just like My regular men's n Air Jordan 11s and so Far that does seem to be the case yeah They do feel I mean they feel true to Size I'd say if you're grabbing these go True to size is what I recommend and Again true to size plus if you're a man Size and a half women's size that's the Size you should grab I guess right That's sort of it's complicated Shouldn't be that complicated but it is So on foot does that change your opinion
At all they just they seem masculine to Me I'm I'm so surprised that yeah I when You said that I don't know if this Captured my true reaction but I was like Really yeah wow they seem wow really Yeah they don't seem feminine to me so I Guess with that being said back to the Studio so the women's Air Jordan 11 Bread velvet very fittingly has a Release date of November 11th or 11-11 And as nice as that is to drop a pair of 11s on 11-11 it's not as nice to release A pair of 11s for $230 $230 is a lot for Really any pair of sneakers and sure Air Jordan 11 prices have been creeping up Over the years but that feels like a lot For a women exclusive release that uses Materials that don't feel that premium But hey either way if you want to grab This shoe I've made sure to leave Affiliate links to the sneaker through The YouTube shopping tab on your screen You can grab this shoe early you can Check resale prices whatever you want to Do so I don't know if Jordan brand is Officially calling this a reimagined Pair of Air Jordan 11s but in a lot of Ways it is because it is really a Reimagined pair of Brad 11s and when you Compare it to a standard pair of Bread 11s you can really see the difference I Mean obviously the materials are Different and there are some detailed Changes like the different colored 23s
On the heel and the different colored Tags on the tongue but the main Difference is not so much the materials But the way that the materials reflect The light patent leather is obviously Incredibly glossy and because of that You get some really nice Reflections on The patent leather the ballistic nylon While significantly less glossy than the Patent leather is still somewhat glossy For a nylon material but this velvet Sort of like eats the light it makes the Shoe feel like a deep black well in most Lights in other lights it sort of gives Off like a bluish greenish Hue which is Interesting obviously the entire upper Of the shoe is covered in this black Velvet material it wraps all the way Around the bottom of the sneaker where The patent leather usually is and of Course replaces the ballistic nylon and The leather towards the heel now you Don't really see this in pictures but This velvet definitely has a grain to it Like sort of a diagonal grain that kind Of runs runs kind of towards the Northeast on the shoe if you're looking At it like this is the grain Direction The same on the other shoe it actually Is mirrored so the grain kind of goes Like this on both shoes and it's not Something you notice that much but when You're looking down on the shoe you Definitely see it the Velvet as I've
Sort of been mentioning throughout the Video already doesn't feel great I mean In my opinion it doesn't feel that Premium now I don't have a lot of velvet Stuff so I don't know if this is Actually incredibly premium velvet I Couldn't tell you but I can tell you That I don't really like it that much I Would have much preferred an entirely Suede pair of Air Jordan 11 breads or Even better just the standard Air Jordan 11 breads I mean it's been 5 years since We had that shoe the last pair released Back in 2019 so I feel like we're kind Of due for it what are we getting this Year instead we're getting the Legend Blues which okay we haven't gotten those Since 2014 so fair enough but still I Would have preferred The Bread 11s to These the texture and the finish of this Velvet is so interesting because at Certain angles it looks incredibly matte Like completely blacked out and then at Other angles it kind of reflects blue It's just a really interesting material To use in a pair of Els not saying it's A bad material whatsoever and I'm not Saying that there isn't a place for this Sneaker I mean obviously the team that Designed the shoe thought that this is a Shoe that people would want and they Probably do there are definitely people Out there who are going to want to grab This shoe presumably women because
That's who they're marketing it to it's A women's only release it only comes in Women's sizing so that's I'm guessing Where they're going with it but I don't Know $230 feels a lot for how this Velvet feels you know what I'm saying Like it doesn't feel I don't know I Guess I just don't know velvet that well But it just doesn't feel like a $230 Shoe but let's continue back in the shoe Towards the midfoot you've got got these Nylon straps that hold the laces in Place the actual material of the straps Hasn't changed from the previous Air Jordan 11 material which is a good thing In my opinion I think that you need some Material contrast on this shoe and of Course weaving through the straps you've Got these black rope laces now one thing You may have noticed already is that the Black rope laces on this shoe are Significantly thinner than the black Rope laces on these standard red 11s I Think some women's Air Jordan 11s do Come with these thinner laces it's not a Huge deal though and it's not something That I even really noticed until I got These shoes in hand I guess one of the Premium details on the shoe one of the Reasons maybe why this shoe is $230 are The red metal lace aglets at the tips of The laces underneath the laces you've Got your velvet tongue and stitched Across the center of the tongue you've
Got your Jumpman Jordan tag this time Around in red instead of white usually It's a black tag with white text in this Case it's a black tag with red text Other than the big material change it's Minor Details like that that have been Changed on this release versus the Standard Air Jordan Els stuff like that Doesn't really bother me it's just a Small change that again I probably Wouldn't have even noticed until I got The shoe in hand moving inside the Sneaker you've got this black fabric Mesh sock liner which is really nicely Packed rounding off the inside of the Shoe you've got a red insole with a Jumpman printed on the heel in Black the Insole is this sort of thin white foam Which is pretty well padded actually I Forgot how comfortable Air Jordan 11s Are I've noticed that people don't Really think Air Jordan 11s are Comfortable but they're actually pretty Nice on foot the main reason for the Comfort is the air units in the mids Soole which feel great underfoot again When it comes to sizing I would say that These shoes fit just like any other pair Of Air Jordan Els at least from what I Can tell I usually go true to sizing my Els but some people prefer to do Something different so it's really up to You but I would grab whatever size of Els you usually grab again if you want
To grab this pair early or after release They are linked through the YouTube Shopping tab on your screen moving even Farther back in the shoe specifically on The lateral side you've got a Jumpman in This sort of metallic red I think it's Actually a metal Jumpman I kind of like When Jordan brand changes out the Embroider detail to a metal detail it's Not something I want on all of my Air Jordan 11s but it does make the shoe Feel more premium it is one of those Details that makes me say okay maybe This is a slightly more expensive pair Of Air Jordan 11s which it is then again The embroidered Jumpman is sort of what I'm nostalgic for so I I like this Detail too then moving around to the Heel of the shoe you've got your 23 Accent in metallic red obviously Different than the standard breads which Come in white and that is pretty much All there is to the upper of the shoe Moving down on the sneaker you get to Your pretty standard Air Jordan 11 Midsole in white of course you've got Your carbon fiber plate right there in The midfoot of the shoe and then finally Moving to the bottom of the sneaker You've got your Red semi-translucent Rubber ELO with your black pods on the Forefoot and on the heel and of course You can see through to the black Jumpman Underneath the Red Rubber the outsole
Does seem to be a slightly more Saturated shade of red than the red used On the Bread 11s from 2019 that said it Could be because my pair is pretty Heavily worn I don't know but I do Honestly think it is a brighter more Saturated red I kind of agree with my Wife I think these are a six they're not Bad they're fine if you like Air Jordan Els or you like velvet great shoe to go With but if you're trying to decide Between the Air Jordan 11 bread velvets That released this year and the 2019 Bread 11s 2019 Bread 11s all the way I Mean this is a classic this is my Favorite pair of Air Jordan Els of all Time and while yes the Velvet breads do Share the same color way the material Change change is big enough to make me Feel like it's not really the same shoe And that's sort of how I felt about the Reimagined Royal ones even though the Material change wasn't as drastic as This I guess it just didn't feel like The same sneaker anymore for some reason The bread fours still felt like bread Fours even though they switched from Suede to leather this shoe I don't know If it's just because it's not as shiny As the original 11s or or what the Reason is but I just don't feel like This is the same sneaker and I just Don't I don't love it now to be fair Jordan brand is not trying to sell me
This shoe I mean I'm sure they'd be Happy if I bought this shoe but they're Not trying to sell it to me they're Trying to sell it to women it's a Women's only release meaning it's only Coming in women's sizing meaning that uh It's meant for women and not for Seth I Like the discussion that me and my wife Were having throughout the middle of This video it doesn't feel like an Inherently feminine shoe it doesn't Scream this is a women's sneaker which Is probably a good thing I think that's What some people want when they buy Their women's shoes but is this a shoe That women as a whole will like that Sounds like a ridiculous question uh who Knows you know we'll have to wait and See if it sells out um I don't even know If it's going to sell out I have no idea I just don't know what to think about This shoe let me know your thoughts on This shoe in the comment section down Below thank you so much for watching Make sure to subscribe if you haven't Yet and I'll see you all in the next one
