It’s Super Bowl weekend, and Vick Almighty is making the ultimate custom with a special Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles Air Jordan 1. We’ll be giving these away as well, so watch the entire video to learn how to win them.
The goal of this project is to make two display pieces: one for a Chiefs fan and the other for an Eagles fan.
The first issue Vick runs into is that these are golf shoes with a translucent bottom and an exaggerated traction pattern. So, we have to turn these into regular Jordan 1s. Vick chose this shoe as the base because of its chrome look, which resembles the iconic Vince Lombardi trophy.
After removing the midsole, it’s time to carefully remove the tongues and replace them with a red and green option to match the team colors.
With it being a great base shoe, Vick will also be painting to add more team spirit.
Vick goes into the boneyard to find the new tongues and comes out with a few options.
Before applying the new midsoles, Vick will need to get rid of all the glue. For this video, Vick won’t go in-depth like other videos. But if you’d like him to share what tools and products he used, drop a comment below, and he’ll make a video dedicated to it.
Vick found a simple black-and-white midsole/outsole donor. Although he originally wanted something with more team colors, he wasn’t able to find much that matched the Eagles green and didn’t want to give the project too much of a Chiefs vibe.
After making some adjustments to the tongue, it’s time to lay down the glue. Vick called an audible on the tongue choices and found other options that were more colorful to really make the project pop.
Once the glue is cured, it’s time to start sewing. Now, it’s time to lay down some paint. The colors for both teams have to match exactly. For the Eagles’ green, Vick has to mix a lot of tones to make it work. Although the Chiefs’ red is a bit easier, there’s still some mixing to be done to get it right. Then, it’s time for hours and hours of painting.
Vick also added some high-gloss tones to give the colors a shine resembling patent leather to match the rest of the sneaker. More details are required, including team logos and lettering. While painting is the easiest step, laying down the stencils, getting the right measurements, and making sure that it all lines up perfectly is a long, tedious process. But it’s definitely worth it.
Vick also added the LIX for Super Bowl 59 with some chrome vinyl to give it a more Super Bowl-like vibe.
Although Vick wishes he had more time to make the sneakers feel more like Eagles and Chiefs sneakers, he’s happy with how they came out.
Here’s how to win these:
1. Guess the final score in the comments
2. Comment which team you’re going for
3. Drop your Instagram handle so we can contact you
We’ll be doing the same thing on our Instagram, so you’ll have two opportunities to win. Entries are valid until kickoff, and winners will be announced on Tuesday.

What is up everybody I'm VI Almighty Welcome back to the channel this weekend Is a Super Bowl so this custom is for You guys we only have a few days to get This one done at the end of the video We're going to give them away one of Them is going to be for Kansas City Chiefs the other one is going to be the Philadelphia Eagles this is going to be A little bit different so let's get Started so the plan for these is to make These a really cool display piece for a Chiefs and Eagles fan at the moment They're golf shoes we want to make them Into regular Jordan one Souls [Music] Ultimately I went with this colorway Because of the Chrome it's a big factor For this custom I'm taking inspiration From the Super Bowl Trophy so far so good we just removed The golf element part from this Jordan One let's keep it moving I'm going to go Ahead and remove the tongue carefully With the blade I don't want to cut the Toe box I'm thinking about going into The Boneyard and finding some new Tongues I'm hoping I can find a red and A green one I'll just have to see what I Can find let's get these tongues off The construction is all done besides Adding new soles and new tongues to These shoes I am going to be doing some Painting onto the uppers overall I do
Like the silver vibe that the sneaker Has but this wouldn't be a Super Bowl Custom without the team colors thinking About adding it on the toe box and the Collar areas if I had more time I would Definitely add more paint all around the Sneakers but I think with those two Areas covered it's going to make it Really pop I'm also going to be painting Some other details all around the Sneakers but we'll get to that in a bit Let's wipe off the factory Finish the mission right now is to find Some Jordan one tongues I know I have Plenty what I'm really looking for is Some red tongues or green tongues off The rip I'm not going to be going with The green simply because I don't have a Red for the opposite and it's the wrong Shade I don't want too much black on the Sneaker I like the zigzag stitching but I don't these will work I do like these Simple maybe pile I have two red gold Yellow I mean this could work for the Chiefs maybe p pile green and white Tongue tags maybe for the Eagles this Isn't bad I do like the black and red Tongue tag maybe pile so these these These I think that works tongues are all Picked out now before I can apply the New SS onto the uppers I got to shave Off all that old glue I'm not going to Be going in detail for this process if You want to see the tools and products I
Use leave a comment down below and I'll Make a full dedicate video just for that At the moment I got the uppers all pre These are the donuts I'm going to be Using originally I wanted to use one Green Sole for the eagle side and red For the Chiefs however finding a perfect Midnight green tone for the eagle side Is nearly impossible with the time I had Also I didn't want to do red on one side And then do gray black or white on the Eagle side it would just look too much Chiefs on both sides so I went with Black both teams have this color it's Going to match nicely let's go ahead and Get these SS off and do some prep [Music] Work donez let's get back to the studio These are the tongues I'm going to be Using one of them I'm going to leave as Is this one is way too short it's from a Low top tongue but I want the tongue tag When a pop off both put the green one Over here lock it in with a sewing Machine overall the tongues do look Great compared to the original colors on The Chiefs and Eagles the colors on Those teams are a lot darker but in this Case they still look good the red tag I'm not exactly sure where I got it from The green tag came from an oxidized Green join in one low let's go ahead and Lay down some glue [Music]
Last night when I was laying down a Bunch of glue I was staring at the Tongues overall I wasn't too satisfied With the look they were looking a little Basic to me so I went back to look at The Eagles jerseys and I noticed that There was a lot more black than I Thought so on this side I popped out the Tag and I put it on the black tongue I Think it gives it a nicer pop on the Chief side I still wanted to leave it White but the white on white was Throwing it off so I went ahead and got A Jordan one bread tongue tag it still Has the red but it has a black to it to Give it a nice Pop I think these look a Lot better now BL been applied it's Fully cured I'm just going to make sure It lines up nicely with the uppers then Sew it in with the sewing [Music] Machine all right so the shoes put back Together tongue and the soles now for The fun part let's lay down some pain Now you can't just lay down any shade of Green or red the colors got to be on Point for both teams for the Eagles the Green is going to be a little tricky I Got some colors here that are pretty Close to the color Angeles Midnight Green dark green navy blue and blue Turquoise I might need some other colors But for the most part I'm going to start With these the color green is on the
Dark side with the shade of blue that's Why I'm using the turquoise and the navy Blue as far as the shade of red goes for The Chiefs it's not very vibrant nor is It dark it's kind of in between this one Should be a little bit easier I'm going To be using fire red and regular red I'll also be using a little doar to Remove the shine so I think I'm going to Start with the tougher color first which Is the Eagles I'm going to be testing it On the shoe as I go all right so the More coat I laid down the happier I am With the results so far it looks good Not too blue not too green it's a Perfect shade let's keep it moving on to The Red all right I think I'm overall happy With this now it's going to take me a Couple hours to get the tow boxes nice And solid enjoy a little b-roll now I'm A huge basketball fan but when it comes To football I am an Arizona carinal fan This year I'm down the middle I could go For either team it will be pretty safe To see the Chiefs do something that's Never been done before and that's Getting a threee I do want to see the Eagles get their Revenge but at the same Time all I really want is a really good Game I'm moving on to the collars now The toe boox was overall easy the collar Are going to be a little trickier just Because of that gray sock liner I can't
Get any paint on that area on the Opposite shoe I'm not going to be doing Red on the collar I'm thinking about Adding yellow for the Chiefs red is a Big color but so is yellow and needs a Place for that tone on this sneaker it Was lacking green that's why I went with Green on the collar same thing with the Yellow I got to get the color on point I'm definitely going to start with Yellow duh when I look at the color it's More on the gold side definitely darker Than just regular yellow So I think I'm going to Add a little bit of Tangerine couple of Drops should do the trick think I got The Perfect tone yellow looks good same Thing with the red and the midnight Green the colors are fully laid down They're nice and vibrant last night I Also stayed late to lay down a nice high Glass finish on those areas it goes Nicely with the silver and the Chrome if You look closely it almost look like Pound leather now it's time for some Artwork so that's night I also stay late To take care of these stencils and the Measurements right now I'm thinking About adding the team logos on the toe Boox areas there's a nice nice big space For that on a Jordan one it always looks Good to do something on the side of the Heel panel I think it needs some more Color up here so I'm going to put a
Little Sweeny swoosh not sure what color Yet the hardest part is going to be the Team logos there's layers to this I put The shoe lace there to see what area Gets covered up on the leather to make Sure that the logo doesn't get covered Up by the lace I rarely ever give away My Customs so I got to make sure these Are on point like I always do I'm not Skipping out on any of the details all The measurements got to be on point I Want whoever wins these to feel like These are their personal trophy laying Down the paint is easy easiest part but The prep work getting everything lined Up properly measuring out the stencils Making sure you get all the layers on Point cleaning out the airbrush all that Stuff takes a long time even been add it For a few hours already when I was Peling off the stencil ripped off all The white paint luckily I just went Ahead and wiped off all the paint and The high gloss finish problem solved I'm Going to go ahead and lay down another Stencil lay down some more paint Hopefully we don't run into more issues In order to get this done in time I'm Just going to work through the night see You guys Tomorrow 5 hours later I finally got the Eagles bird fully fixed this was Supposed to be a lot easier it shouldn't Have taken longer than an hour but
Working on top of that high gloss finish Was the wrong move luckily for me I was Able to prep that area by removing all The old paint and the glossy finish Without harming the midnight green spent A few hours laying down every single Color carefully laying down every Stencil to the point to where I got it Like this super proud on how that turned Out another thing I did last night Before I called the quits I added the 59 On the side on both sneakers very subtle Goes perfectly with the rest of the Sneakers with some heat press Chrome Vinyl these are official Super Bowl Customs now if you guys remember these Weren't even regular Jordan 1es they Started off as golf cleats completely Different sport now with the regular Black and white sole these look so much Better the uppers look great they should Have honestly came out like this now Overall I love how both of these Customs Turned out I really like the Chrome and The silver on the uppers it really makes The shoe pop it's really got Super Bowl Trophy Vibes with the pops of color all Around the sneakers it really makes it And Eagles and Chiefs colorway if I Would have planned and had some more Time I would have added a few more Details to these Sneakers but overall I Love how they turned out they really pop And I can definitely see Nike releasing
Something like this in the future now Let's get into the rules on how you can Possibly win one of these sneakers rule Number one comment your guest for the Final score of Super Bowl 59 rule number Two comment which team you're going for And rule number three this one's very Important make sure to also comment your Instagram handle so we have a way to Contact you if you win now we're doing The exact same thing on Instagram if you Want to up your chances do the same Thing on IG any comments left after Kickoff will not be considered for the Giveway giveway winners will be Announced on Tuesday on our ruen Instagram so stay tuned for that good Luck everyone have a great Super Bowl Weekend this is Vic Almighty catch you Guys next time
