$1000 retail might be the craziest thing we’ve ever heard… but what’s even crazier is that @WinonaKicks wore them for 30 days and completely trashed them. If you’re paying that much for a pair of shoes are you wearing them or are you stocking them away somewhere?!
Now Charlie called us up to use our mail in cleaning service. Which essential means you purchase a service and ship your shoes to our headquarter where they are carefully cleaned by our team of Shoe Care Specialist. We should let you know it won’t be Vick EVERY TIME, but you could be one of the lucky people to have a shoe cleaned by the man himself. Since this shoe is so premium and Charlie did choose our white glove service which is the total detailing package it is only right that Vick responds to the task!
To kick this cleaning off we need to remove the laces and insole to fully prep the shoe. With all of the creasing from 30 straight days of wear these were in desperate need of a Shoe Tree. Now a Shoe Tree won’t 100% remove all creasing, but it does help a ton! To continue the prep on the shoe Vick went ahead and dry brushed the shoe to remove the loose dirt and avoid pushing it into the materials. For this part Vick paid super close attention to the shoe and used multiple tools to get the shoe as clean as possible. Now this is a true detail job!
Once the shoe was prepped fully it was time to actually get to using some product. Vick started with Sneaker Wipes to remove as much dirt as possible before switching to the brushes and solution. The main reason for this is because of the stitching and premium material. The leather on this shoe is a little harder to clean, so we knew from the start they would not go in the wash which is our normal stitching trick!
Vick started with the midsole and outsole and put a ton of effort into this part to ensure all the dirt was removed. This really included paying close attention to the hard stitch on the midsole. After the midsole and outsole was clean it was time to move to the uppers. Now Vick ONLY used the Soft Brush to avoid any scratches or damage on the uppers and ultimately it worked extremely well!
After that Vick put the shoe in the Vick2000 to really whiten up the shoe. UV rays assist a lot in whitening shoes even without an unyellowing agent. If you have a pair of white leather shoes, canvas, mesh etc. and you see a little bit of yellowing on them; use the UV rays!
Once the shoe was dry it was time to recondition the leather using Mink Oil and the Horsehair Brush. This step will extend the life of these sneakers and ultimately make them look better! However, Vick wasn’t done with the detail.. It was time for the iron method to take care of any wrinkles on the leather.
After the shoe was in tip top shape it was time for one more detail.. polishing the lace tips with a Sneaker Wipe. This process was the ultimate detail package! Order a white glove service and let our team detail your holy grail shoe!
Don’t forget to let us know if you would pay this much for a retail pair of shoes! Also, should we do more wear tests with @WinonaKicks

After purposes the left shoe will be Taken care of later first I'm going to Take out the shoelace and insole Charlie Did a great job of wearing these so you Can see there's a lot of creasing going On in the toe box with the shoe tree That should help eliminate that now What's really going to make this shoe Come back to life is using a reuven Solution I'm going to pour two squirts Inside our bowl of water now the worst Thing I can do right now is go straight To using the St brist or brush with the Solution and start cleaning the shoe Right now there's a lot of cake on dirt And mud on the sneaker if I also use the Water and solution right now it will Just push it deeper into the material And ruin it so I'm going to dry brush it And use a compressor to blow all this Stuff off off First medium brist brush did a good job On the uppers now for the midols and SES I'm going to use a stiff bristle brush [Music] [Music] So so far so good using the medium Bristle brush and the S bristle brush we Get the majority of the mud and they're Completely brushed off however looking It up closely there is still some dirt Trapped all around the stitching of the Uppers and the midols and when I look Closely underneath the leather panels
There's still some trap dirt underneath So I'm going to use this brush with Stiff bristles it's pretty small I'm Only going to be focusing on the Stitching and underneath those leather Panels good to go using the dry brush Method and the compressor next I'm going To use some rejuvenator wipes I want to Go in and remove as much of the dirt That's on the leather as possible that Way when I use a saw bristle brush and Solution I don't brush on the dirty Water onto the white Stitching the wipes made a big Difference now let's get into the Cleaning using the solution water and All three brushes I'm going to take care Of the harder part first which is the Midsole and the sole using the stier so [Music] Brush I spend a lot of time on the Mental and in the sole it's back to White especially that stitching I also Got a clean new mat fresh water and Solution let's keep it moving for the Uppers I'm only going to be using the Soft brist of brush I'm going to brush In a nice circular motion all around Really my focus is getting that Stitching all cleaned up as I go I'm Going to be patting it down dry so I Don't oversaturate the leather Cleaning is complete the shoe looks so Much better I suddenly let the shoe dry
And put the shoe inside the V 2000 the UV raise is going to help widen up the Shoe and the stitching in the meantime I Still need to clean the laces and the Insole I'll start with the insole for The insole I'm just going to be using a Sof Bristal brush to give it a good Scrub Cleaning is complete I'm really happy With how the shoe turned out no issues At all the shoe is still a little bit Damp but that's okay the next step is Putting the shoe inside the Vic 2000 I Want to get the shoe as wide as possible And the UV rays should help out with That plus it gets a little warm in there So it should help out with the Drying I left the shoe in the indoor Setup for 12 hours overall it looks a Lot better the white stitching is back To White let's keep it moving next I'm Going to be using some rejuvenator mink Oil with our horsehair brush I'm going To spray the mink oil into the brush Then brush it into the SHO do to keep it Reconditioned and the leather nice and [Music] Soft we're done with the shoe got the Lace all cleaned up before I lace it up As is it's pretty wrinkled so use a Small iron to get it nice and Flat now let's lace it Up and the details always matter with The white glove service the shiny gold
Tips are looking a little smudgy so I'm Going to use a ruminated wipe to give Them a quick polish All right guys that's going to bring us To an end on the 1985 Wings Phantom Jordan 1 cleaning whenona kicks almost Wor down to the ground but now they look Almost brand new again there was two Goals during this cleaning one to get Them back to looking brand new and as wi As possible and not ruining the Beautiful delicate leather on these Sneakers during the cleaning I did a lot Of dry brushing and compressor before I Even even use solution or water on the Sneakers I even gave the leather a good Wipe down using rejuvenator wipes before I used a brush and solution as well the Hardest part about this cleaning was Getting the stitching on the uppers and The MS back to White originally they Were caked on with dirt and mud for Several days it was in there really good But after spending a lot of time in that Area and using the right tools we Literally got them back to brand new White the Sho trees also played a big Factor as you can see on the after Compared to the before it's back to its Original shape on the before with no Shoe tree it's pretty creased up the Sho Tre does a lot to help with the Integrity and shape of the overall Sneaker as I mentioned earlier this was
A white glove service so the details Really matter you look at the sole I got Every single little piece of grime and Dirt out of the little crevices those Details Matter on the uppers I iron the Laces to get that nice beautiful flat Look and the lace tips got a nice polish That's something you can expect from us Anytime you get the white glove service From rejuvenator you can find all our Products at rat.com use my promo code Down below to save some money now you Got to get to work on the second shoe Charlie's expecting good results this is Vic Almighty I'll catch you guys on Monday see you guys
