Welcome back, everyone, to this week’s episode of Shoe Care Academy, featuring fan favorite Pretty Boy Rob. In this episode, Rob is cleaning the J Balvin Jordan 3 “Rio” ????????.
Released in May, the J Balvin Jordan 3 “Rio” has been one of the most sought-after sneakers of 2024. Like the other Jordan 3 Balvins, this pair is inspired by the sunsets over the mountains of Balvin’s hometown, Medellín ????. This Balvin Collaboration was named after his son, Rio, who was welcomed into the world in 2021.
To clean them, Rob uses our Signature Shoe Cleaning Kit to tackle these muddied kicks. Mud and dirt as possible that way you're Just not creating a muddy murky mess all On your cleaning station so with that Said come follow me [Music] Outside another reason you want to bang Off most that dirt prior to starting not Only for that mess I was talking about But when you do this it helps by not Pushing the mud deeper into the material This is an all leather shoe so we really Got to worry about that but now let's go Back to our cleaning station all right We are back all right we're back at our Cleaning station like I said in the Beginning we're going to be showcasing Our signature shoe cleaning kit but There are a couple other products I want To highlight like this cleaning mat it's Highly absorbent and if we spill any Water or Suds it's really going to soak Up that plus our dry rack bow combo Which is going to store all three of our Brushes allow them to properly drip dry And it acts as a bowl of water with the Solution plus our sneaker laundry Detergent all these products and more Are available at router.com as well as All your the shoe care needs make sure You hit that link in the bio Save You All some dollar bills with that said I Can go ahead and remove these shoelaces And insert our adjustable shoe tree so Let's get it let's
Go now that we got our shoe tree in it's Going to give us that nice hard toe boox So we can really clean and get deep it's Not going to fold the shoe as we're Cleaning plus since we're putting this Shoe in the water washer it's going to Really give it that form and integrity It's not going to bend or break the shoe One thing I want to mention is we're Putting this shoe in the washer however If you got this shoe at home there is a Good chance you won't have to it's an All black shoe the shoe will clean up Great using all three brushes solution In the towel we wanted to test our Laundry system just so you know it is Safe if you ever have to with that said I'm just going to grab our solution and Squirt some squirts as always we like to Start with our soft bristle brush it Just has the softest bristles it's just Going to be the safest really going to Clean the whole shoe completely even Wipe it off see if we're any working With with some deeper stains and then We'll jump on those other brushes so Let's get it In get the shot get the shot All right I'm all done using our soft Bristle brush on the uppers the next Step is really to use the medium bristle Brush tackle some of these deeper stains That are all over the shoe and there's a Lot of deeper stains I mean there's mud
In almost every nook and cranny before We get on the medium bristle brush I Want to talk a little bit about this Sneaker if you didn't know this is Zach J Balin second Jordan 3 that he got to Put his signature touch on we got the LG One spinning in the back personally I Like that color way a little more I Think they dropped a major ball on the Black colorway they should have at least The same yellow trim I mean that's just My opinion but we would love to hear From you guys in the comment section Down below so let us know with that said Let's get on it with the medium Bristol Brush another fun fact about this Sneaker it's actually nicknamed the Rio Inspired by Jay balvin's son just like The OG this sneaker has a sunset hued Heeled but it's paired with black Leather exterior instead inverting the Style from day to night Jordan brand Says this shoe is inspired by the Tranquility of a sunset viewed from the Mountains of medine all right we are all Done using the medium bristle brush took Care of most those things the last step Is really to take care of this outso Using the stiff bristle brush however Another thing I want to point out is Just this gradient effect that's another Area I feel like Jordan just messed up On it looks like a seven-year-old to That gradient effect boom roasted if you
Want to see how a gradient is actually Done check out one of the links in the Corners Vic BR knows how to do gradient Effect we might as well just give it to Him and have him do it but with that Said let's hit it with the stiff bristle Brush All right there it is that's going to do It that's going to wrap it up for that Out so right now we got to take care of Our laces and most cases I would dip the Laces in the bowl of water scrub it give It that extra loving with the soft Bristle brush however these are all Black they're not that dirty so I think I'm just going to put them inside our Laundry bag and wash out the laundry System speaking of the laundry bag hit Me bam so right now I'm just going to Put the shoe inside the laundry bag does Have that nice pouch where we can put Our laces as well as one laundry pod to Flush out these sneakers so let's get it In all right our sneakers are safely Secured inside our sneaker laundry bag As well as those laces plus we got one Pot in now we just got to go to the Washer and get these things deep Cleaned all right we are back the shoe Is 100% dry couple things I want to Point out is the laundry system did its Thing I mean even using the three Brushes I saw a lot of dirt and crevices All around in all these little areas but
