Welcome to this Week’s Episode of Shoe Care Academy???????? Today the Sneaker Battle Champion Pretty Boy Rob is going to try and revive the all black and all red suede Air Force 1’s. Both of these pairs are absolutely disgusting and the suede is super CRUNCHY, so let’s see what Rob does to make these wearable once again!
Product Showcase????
To bring these pairs back to life Rob uses the Essential Revive Bundle which features our Reshoevn8r Mink oil, horsehair brush, and dry suede kit, along with our essential kit which features a microfiber towel, Reshoevn8r cleaning solution as well as our soft, medium, and stiff brush. This Bundle has everything you need to resurrect your cooked suede shoes.
The Champs Tips and Tricks????????
-When cleaning a suede shoe it is vital that you don’t over saturate the shoe with water or solution because it can cause the color of the suede to bleed onto the white parts of the sneaker. To avoid this try and use as little water and solution possible while pat drying every section that you clean!
– The Microfiber towel is your best friend! When drying the shoe use it to scrape off any remaining dirt or grime, because it can get into those nitty gritty spots that the brushes can’t get into.
-The Suede Revive Bundle is a necessity for any sneaker head with suede kicks! The Suede eraser and brush will remove the dirt and grime that is deeply cemented into the shoe, while the mink oil and horsehair brush will bring back that pop in color!

But this black one I don't even know if We can call it crunchy I Mean that suede is almost [Music] Dead hey what's popping what's up YouTube Welcome Back to the channel Pretty boy Rob here and I'm hanging out With you for another episode of shoe Care Academy and for this video it's Another double Banger we got two purs of Air Force ones we got the all Red Suede And then all black both are extremely Cooked both we are going to rejuvenate These things using a rejuvenated product Called our essential suede revive bundle It gots our essential shoe cleaning kit The mink oil dry suede kit and horse Hair brush we are going to be using a Couple other rejuvenated products but We'll talk about those later on in the Video as well as some of these Challenges that we are going to Experience but with all that being said There's not much left to it but to do it So let's get straight into this episode Of shoare Academy if you're new to the channel Don't forget to like comment and Subscribe y'all know the vibe we come at You guys with new content two times a Week every Mondays we got customs and Restorations with our dude Vic Almighty Then every Thursday we got shoare Academy videos like today's video where
We clean all types of shoes but if you Like Air Force One specifically we got a Bunch of content on that again down to Restorations ASMR I mean you name it we Got that but right now I want to know From you guys what is your favorite Air Force One of of all time mine has to Either be the allwhite pair or the Louis Vuittons those are pretty fire but let Us know in the comment section down Below right now we can go ahead and get Started started I'm just going to grab The left shoe of both of them just get Those stinky things out of here and we Can focus just on the right for this Cleaning before we get started let's Talk a little bit about the materials And the challenges of this cleaning any Dyed suede is notorious for bleeding red Specifically and black we're actually Already seeing it on this back heel tab That's why we do have our mink oil and We chose to use these products right Here that are available at reator.com a Couple other products we're going to be Using are going to be our dry rack Bowl Combo that's going to store our brushes And solution as well as our mat that the Shoes are sitting on right now with all That being said let's go and get those Products out here so we can get down and Dirty all right there it is our cleaning Station is all prepped before I get Started with this cleaning for the sake
Of time I'm just going to break down Exactly what I'm doing with each brush For starters we got our soft bristle Brush I'm going to use this Predominantly on these uppers really Scrub the whole shoe completely and Evenly and see what type of deeper Stains I'm working with and then with The medium bristle brush we're going to Tackle some of the those deeper stains As well as start cleaning up this Midsole however it's looking pretty Dirty and grimy that's why we're also Going to use the stiff bristle brush on The mids soole for both these sneakers And then really get a deep clean on These outsoles right now I'm going to Insert the Sho trees to both shoes and I'm going to start with the red one just Cuz I think that's going to be the more Challenging Clean when cleaning an all sued shoe we Recommend starting with a soft brush That is dry and brush in multiple Directions to help kick off all that Loose dirt by doing this it's going to Give you a more effective clean by not Pushing that dirt and grime deeper into The Material all right right away as I'm Scrubbing you can see this part is dry This part is extremely wet I'm noticing The red is already bleeding onto the Check so we want to be very careful not
To oversaturate this material and clean The shoe completely even so I'm going to Continue to the rest so as you can see Throughout the cleaning I'm using the Microfiber towel to scrub the white Check and scrub off any excess red dye That gets on there we're doing that to Avoid any deeper staining cuz as you can See on this back tab it looks like the Red dye is permanently in there but we Won't know until later on this cleaning So let's continue using our medium Bristle Brush I am seeing a lot of Trapped in Dirt that our medium bristle brush isn't Taken care of so now it's time to get The stiff bristle brush Involved [Music] Here we go with the pro tip of the day Your microfiber towel is your best Friend I did notice a lot of Trapped in Dirt around the rim of this midsole Where it meets the uppers I was unable To get that out with the brush however The microfiber towel really allowed me To buff out all those trapped in Stains All right that's going to do it for the Pre-treatment I'm just going to go and Set that shoe aside we're going to go And revive that Suede and bring it back To life later on but right now I got to Take care of that black pair but before
I do that I do want to talk a little bit About Nike Air Force Ones if you guys Didn't know they originated in 1982 and The designer was Bruce Kilgore the Air Force ones are also one of the top Selling sneakers of all time and it was The first hoop and shoe that featured Nike's air cushioning if you got any Facts about the Air Force Ones let us Know in the comments section down below With that said let's take care of these Crusty dusties before starting with the Clean I already noticed that this suede Is super crunchy and very damaged it Looks like the person who owned these Shoes prior probably cleaned these shoes Multiple times just due to the texture Of the material so to properly clean This shoe we're just going to dry brush And get all the loose dirt and grime off And then we're going to go back and Follow all the same steps we did on the Red Suede pair not only did we Experience color bleeding in the Red Suede but we're also experiencing on These black suede Air Force Ones and Honestly it's extremely common when Cleaning any dyed Suede that's going to wrap it up for the Soft bristle brush now let's get Straight to the medium bristle Brush all right we're all done using the Three brushes on this shoe as well as The red sneaker we do got to go and take
Care of our laces however since we're Dealing with a lot of Red Suede dye some Of that is in the water and I don't want To dip the white laces in there and Possibly stain those so we're going to Go and get a fresh bowl of water and Take care of those laces but first let Me go and set these outside to Dry all right here we go the shoes are Outside currently drying right now I got A fresh bowl of water and time to take Care of these laces the white ones are Looking extremely dinged and trapped in Dirt all over and then we got the red Ones that are dirty as well going to Take care of the white laces first I do Want to grab some rejuvenator cleaning Solution and squirt inside our bowl of Water grab the laces and just dunk them In all right I also got my soft brush Chilling on the side because once I'm Done dunking these laces back and forth I'm going to go and use that to help Push out some of the trapped in dirt and [Music] Stains all right this sneakers are Outside currently drying and we got our Laces under a fan both are sufficient When drying your sneakers or shoelaces Since we got some time on our hands Let's go Ahad and tap in with the Comment sections all right it looks like I got got a question right here from Steven glass Ford
9513 he asked when using the sneaker Laundry system what type of washer is Recommended top load or front load that Is actually a great question you can Actually use both however the top washer Typically tends to soak the shoe a Little better and we see a little better Results when the front load doesn't get As much water and really clean as shoes But again we've tested both so you can Use both if you got one of them at home I think it's time for you guys to Release a foam pump version of the Sneaker liquid Solution you never know keep it locked Cuz we got a bunch of new products and Skews coming in 2024 you can actually Sign up right now on our website for the Newsletters so you're notified first of When these products drop all right we Are back both shoes are 100% dry we do Have some challenges that we got to talk About before we proceed with the Cleaning first this Red Suede Unfortunately it did bleed on this Midsole kind of in the stitching area we Are seeing red D there as well on the Swoosh unfortunately whoever previously Owned these just let the suede bleed and They let it sit on the shoe for who Knows how long and unfortunately that Did cause some permanent staining the Reason for that a red dye is designed to Be permanent if it was as easy as just
Putting water and soap on it and it Would wash off just imagine the color of This sneaker it would probably look pink Orome but right now we can get on to This black shoe uh and talk about these Challen es both suedes are actually Pretty crunchy but this black one I Don't even know if we can call it Crunchy I Mean that suede is almost dead that's Why I grabbed these reated products so We can go ahead and bring it back to Life first we're going to use our dry Suede kit on the red Air Force Ones then We're going to move to the black shoe And reset it with our dry suede brush Both these shoes are going to get mink Oil to bring that color back and then We're going to lace them up and get on Out of here so let's get straight to [Music] It [Music] All right we got the suede plush once Again now we can go and move on to the Black pair so let's get it In one pro tip when using a dry suede Kit is you don't want to push too much Pressure on the shoe with the Eraser Just brush back and forth lightly and Evenly and let the Eraser Cook all right the suede is reset on Both of our sneakers it's plush once Again both are feeling soft to touch
Like I already mentioned the previous Issues but right now it's time to really Rejuvenate this suede by grabbing our Minkle and we're going to spray both Shoes with a couple light even coats We're going to let it dry for about 15 Minutes between each setting we can't Forget to brush it in using our horse Hair brush all these products you saw in Today's video are available at ru.com as Well as all your other shoe care needs So make sure you hit that link in the Bio to save you some dollar Bills [Music] [Music] All right two coats of minkle has been Settled in the shoe all that's left is To lace them Up There it is that's going to do it that's Going to wrap things up for today's Episode is shoe care Academy on both Pair of these suede Air Force Ones they Are looking right we achieved these Results using our essential shoe Cleaning kit mink oil dry suede kit plus Horsehair brush we also paired it with a Couple other resinated products to make This cleaning easy peasy and that's our Dry rack bow combo plus our mat if you Want results like these I would highly Recommend copying your ber own essential Suede revive bundle that is available at
