Hey people welcome to the Run testers And to our first run look at the latest Carbon Razer from The kiprun Stables We've got the Snapple named kiprun kd900 X LD plus this is the followup to the 2024 kd900 X it's built for racing and Fast training we've put in some early Test miles to bring you our first Impressions so let's get into [Music] It details first in starting with stack And de cathlon lists this on the site as A 39 mil in the heel 35 m in the 4T for A 4 mil drop it weighs in 8.4 oz so 240 G in my UK men's 8 and a half test shoe On price it's $199.99 in the UK don't have a US price Not sure of the availability us side at The moment but we'll put that in the Caption if and when we get It let's give you a quick shoe whip Brown then starting with the midsole and We've got a new foam here we' got a V Foam plus P based midso now the website Suggests that this new foam is 65% peber That's a higher percent of peber than The last kd900 X you've also got a full Length carbon plate you've got a Pronounced rocker you've also got some Interesting geometry with this kind of Arch cutaway here and a deep narrow Trench down the middle of the shoe the Foam Also Rises up on either side of the Shoe for a bucket seat style droing

Under the heel up top you've got quite Plastic feeling uppers they're quite Thick little bit stiff they feel all Coated it's maybe better for durability Than it's going to be for Comfort there Are minimal heel collars just a couple Of small pads on the inside you've got Flat wrapping tongues that come up quite High these also have two sort of back Pads for Comfort uh you got thin regular Laces no lock laces here they're very Long as well which is something that kit Brun tends to do fit them over you've Got a pretty familiar covering of out Sole rubber in a sort of racy setup big 4ft pad covering most of the front here Got a couple of pads on the impact zones In the heel as well pretty standard Stuff There so I've just done my first run in The new Ki Brun shoes fresh out the box Did about eight or so Miles I mixed up The paces started off very slow very Easy uh really kind of recovery Pace Popped in a few miles that are faster Than my marathon pace sort of 62s or Something just to test how they are when You're moving a bit faster and I guess My first impressions of the isues are That they're generally comfortable they Really roomy fit probably on the long Side probably a bit too long for me even Though I'm running in a UK in a half Here they do feel like they're carrying

Too much in the 4 foot that toe box is Too long and that creates a slight Disconnect I think if these shoes if I'd Gone half a size down they a little bit More compact it may change the way that They ride and feel that might create a Bit more of punch out of that kind of Mid to four foot as it stands I do get Some bounce and spring back from the Mids salt I think they're quite Soft unlike some shoes that give you a Bit of stiffness like the metas speed Sky Paris along with that kind of Cushioning and that spring or the Brooks Hyperion Elite 4 PB which we've been Testing now that softness doesn't have Any kind of stiffness to it I don't feel The plate or I feel like there's not a Pronounced kind of stiffness which helps Kind of with the transition so Everything does feel a little bit Cushioned but less energetic and I'm not Getting the kind of full sort of bouncy Energy that you might get from something That's really soft like anced run on the Soc and orphin Elite 2 or the Light Strike Pro that comes on the adios Pro 4 So while there's kind of enough energy I Would say here as sort of daily trainer Level sort of super trainer punch I'm Not really getting that kind of full Race energy that I've had from some of The other shoes that we've been in Recently now if you go back to the last

Generation of these I thought they were Kind of closer to the other carbon races Than you'd expect for a cheaper shoe These ones don't feel like they've moved On as much as some of the other New Generation carbon races have and I I Feel like there's a little bit left That's my first impression anyway they I Was perfectly happy running in them They're very easy to run when you're Moving slow they're very accommodating They take the edge off the road really Well it's just when you really sort of Put the foot down and try and sort of Punch a bit more and try and kick up Those Paces I just wasn't getting that Kind of full sort of real propulsion That you get from some of the other Carbon Racers that we've got now I think The platform to land on is fairly stable It's quite wide big enough it's Accommodating there's quite a Reliability Under Foot they feel pretty Stable overall you knew what you're Going to get with each cut of strike so That's quite a nice sensation the other Thing I've sort of noticed I've got a Little bit of heat on the back of my Heel under the Achilles just where that Heel collar hasn't quite held firmly and Securely it's nothing too problematic at The moment but you know I've been out For about an hour if I was going 3 hours 4 hours maybe that will be a bit more

Probably we have to test that as we do The kind of miles for the full Review otherwise at the moment my Impressions are this is kind of okay Hasn't wowed me so far I wanted a bit More from It first impressions on these kit Bron Ray shoes then to me they feel pretty Well put together I don't dislike the Midsole ride I think there's a little Bit of energy there there's good Cushioning it's pretty reliable pretty Stable it's comfortable on the foot I Ran those miles very comfortably when I Punched up to the 6 20 minute miles you Know they coach they weren't necessarily Helping as much but they felt okay at That pace I would like a bit more back You know running in shoes like the hyper And leite pb4 4 PB or the new so Endorphin Elite 2 or the edios Pro 4 Those shoes are all giving a bit more Energy back there of sparing you a bit More than I found on this first run in These shoes so I would sort of knock These a bit back down into almost sort Of super trainer daily trainer territory For which they would be a good shoe Actually for for doing those kind of Fast training miles or even sort of more Comfortable slower training miles Cruising shoe absolutely it ticks that Box has it got enough to do sort of Marathon race day go CH chase a PB in

Them first impressions here are that Maybe not flip side of that is actually If just looking for a shoe that's going To accommodate you and keep you Comfortable with a bit of energy all the Way around you know a 4-Hour Marathon a Bit longer these shoes might well fit That bill there certainly the Comfort Overall for them apart from that little Bit of heel which might go away if I lay Some down differently next time so it's A it's a kind of First Impressions for Me they're kind of okay I'm not wed by Them at the moment pretty well put Together pretty durable looking a decent Shoe that hasn't yet sort of set the World a light but as ever I would Reserve my full judgment on that until I've done more miles and put them Through more testing as ever I say Things sometimes you come out and your Legs are a bit tired so the energy is More lacking the legs than is in the Shoe but at the moment I didn't quite Get that kind of the real punch Particularly when we've been coming from Some other really really issues of Recent
