Time to see if RESHOEVN8R can be the real superhero in this episode of Shoe Care Academy. ????
Today we put Mr. Reshoevn8r to the ultimate test on not one, but three different sneakers. It is only right that we teach you to clean all 3 of the Powerpuff SB Dunks that dropped last year. All three of these sneakers feature a different material on the uppers which means that this cleaning could be a little tricky. However, with the Reshoevn8r Essential Cleaning Kit Steve is CONFIDENT we could get all of these materials clean.
To kick off the cleaning Mr. Reshoevn8r started with the Bubbles inspired Nike SB Dunk. The upper on this blue pair was a textured leather, almost plastic material. To clean this pair we used the Essential Cleaning Kit to breakdown all of the grease and dirt found in that thick material. Steve used the Soft Bristle Brush on the uppers to remove the dirt, but also for the delicate materials on the sock liner and tongue to avoid any snagging. After the upper materials were clean it was time to take on the rest of the shoe using the other shoe cleaning brushes and allowed it to dry.. Onto the next!
Steve then moved over to the Buttercup Dunk which features a 3M upper, so he chose to move over to our latest product.. The Power Pad! Our Power Pad is a pretreated reusable sponge that works great to clean materials such as, leather and rubber midsoles. However, with how dirty these shoes were and how thick the materials are he ultimately decided to move back to the Essential Cleaning Kit. Once he reached his desired results it was time to take on the Blossom SB Dunks.
The pink pair of these SB Dunks had more delicate materials on the uppers, but again it was no match for the Essential Kit. The cleaning process for all three of these shoes was done the same way using the Essential Cleaning Kit. This Kit allows you to clean over 50 pairs of shoes… We ONLY did 3. Do you have a pair of these SB Powerpuff Dunks if so today's video is for you I Will be cleaning all three how's it Going YouTube it is Steve aka Mr Rejuvenator here this is one of the you Know some say one of the best releases Of 2023 that is also you know just an Opinion leave a comment below which pair Of these Powerpuff SP dunks you like the Most if I had to choose one of these as My favorite color way I would probably Pick these green ones I'm not a huge fan But that's just my opinion some people Love them some people hate them let us Know in the comments section below what You think now these are pretty beat but I am confident that we're going to be Able to clean these up no problem so Let's get started today we will be using Our essential kit this kit comes with All three brushes that you need to clean This effectively a 4 oz bottle of Cleaning solution that will get you up To 50 cleans especially if you clean all Three at the same time plus a microfiber Towel so what I'm going to do is I'm Going to go ahead and move all of the Left shoes out of here I'm going to Start just in order here with this blue So I got this first shoe here what I'm Going to do is take out the lace these Do have pretty cool insoles I was going To take one out and start cleaning it But they're glued in so we're not going
To do that all right I'm just going to Set these aside right here go ahead and Take a little bit of our 4 oz bottle of Cleaning solution couple squirts as Vic Would say I always like to put a Sho Tree in before I clean it just allows You to apply a little more pressure and In my opinion get a much more effective Clean so if you have one of these I Highly suggest using them now we're Going to get to it all right all we're Going to do here is start with our soft Bristle brush again as I always mention Let the brush do the work you don't need To apply too much pressure this is why We offer three different brushes the Most effective clean possible there are A few different materials on the shoe Obviously we have a Rubber Sole we have Some sort of textured leather that seems Like it has some sort of print on it and Then we have kind of a satin cotton Tongue I'm going to go ahead and just Clean half of the shoe down the middle So I can show you a before and after Real quick I'm to switch to the medium Bristle now I'm going to do is just wipe This down and I'm going to show you the Shoe so I just did a quick clean on this Side you can see how much cleaner it is So now that we got the first side the Right side clean just so I can show you To Quick clean purpose I'm going to go Ahead and clean left side I'm going to
Start with the soft bristle brush Here again guys don't be afraid to wear Your sneakers sneakers are made to be Worn they can be cleaned most of the Time as long as you're not totally Disrespectful to them you should be able To clean your sneakers no problem keep In mind guys this soft bristle brush is Going to be safe on all materials when It comes to delicate materials or you Know like the inside of this line in Here this is a delicate material it Doesn't snag if I were to use one of These medium bristle brushes or stiff Brushes it would snag and fray the Material so the soft bristle brush is Great for Delicate materials and to start your Clean off when using the medium on Specific delicate materials you just Want to be careful sometimes it's good And sometimes it feels like it snags you Just want to pay attention to how it Feels in your hand all right now we're Going to use the stiff bristle brush the Stiff bristle brush really is only to be Used on midsoles and out soes don't use It on uppers please cuz you're going to Ruin your Shoe we've had people do it before [Music] All right so now that we got this Cleaned I got to take this lace we'll Just drop it in here rub the laces
Together just get any dirt out of there That's built up over time I'm just going To set these aside here I'll lace it up Later after it dries and then let's Choose let's do green this looks like It's a 3M material I'm probably going to Bust out one of these power pads to Clean the Power Puffs we took the laces Out Vic went to go get me some water Thank you Vic I appreciate that once He's back we'll go ahead and take this New Power Pad that we have and we'll Clean this shoe I am going to put a shoe Tree in here Too water boy today guys there you go Thank you appreciate that all right Let's see what Happens what I really love these four Midsoles if you can pair this with a Stiff bristle brush I'm not sure of a Midsole you can't [Music] Clean I will tell you though these shoes Are so thick when it comes to the toe Box and where they're sewing this Material together although it's working I'm not going to continue using this I'm Actually going to move to the soft Bristle brush now this does have some Satin it's got a satin interior on it um Which you definitely want to use the Soft bristle brush on this tongue Obviously is a delicate Material it's cleaning up pretty well
It's definitely a lot easier cleaning The shoe with the brush over the Power Pad just because this is so thick so What I may do is again I'll clean it With the brushes if I see any stubborn Stains I'm going to bring this back and See if we can get those stains Out let's see what we got all right These shoes look pretty good I do still See some dirt on the tongue a little bit So I'm going to go ahead and take this Medium bristle brush it's not snagging With this and I'm just going to gently Clean the areas that I see now we're Going to use the stiff whistle brush on The out Soles that should do it let's go ahead And just dunk These I'm going to go ahead and set These aside bring in the pink one we're Making a mess here but we are making Some progress too So all right moving to the third sneaker Of this cleaning we are just going to go Ahead and use the soft bristle brush and This really is just key to loosen the Dirt um to start the cleaning once I'm Done with the soft brush I'll go ahead And finish up uh the clean with the Medium brush yeah Nike is still claiming On this shoe that it is a suede material And I'm just not seeing that so leave a Comment um below and let me know if you Own these if you feel like these are
Suede um because I've been cleaning Shoes a long time and I just don't think That they're suede We got a huge mess here there was a lot More dirt in this so than I thought so I'm glad that I didn't try to use the Brush now I'm going to move on to the Stiff bristle brush again I'm going to Get most of this dirt out I'm not going To spend all day on these because I Don't care if the soles are that clean Personally um but I don't want to track Dirt all around the house All right the main portion of this Cleaning is done I still have some Detail work to do on the UND sole but I'm not going to bore bore you with that Also we tried to use this it just wasn't All that effective on this particular Shoe it is really effective on midsoles And smooth materials this just was a Little too rough it it wasn't quite Smooth enough for it to be super Effective but this is a great add-on Make sure you check it out if you don't Have any power pads pick some up it is Really really wonderful on midsoles and It'll get stuff out that even brushes Won't so check that out all right we are Back they're laced up the clean was Successful let's take a look at the Before and afters on all of these shoes The essential shoe cleaning kit did a Great job breaking down all of the
