Hello and welcome to run testers my name Is Nick and in this video we're going to Be comparing the mauno Neo Vista and the Nike zoomfly [Music] 6 so zoomly 6 and the Neo Vista are both Plated super trainers or plated daily Trainers however you want to see it they Are both really good shoes shoes that I Really enjoyed running in last year and You know going on into this year as well They're both pretty good value when it Comes to the super train the market you Coming a little bit cheaper than a lot Of their main Rivals the Nike is £155 or $170 the Muno is cheaper in the UK at £ 150 but then more expensive in the US Where it's $180 the zoomfly 6 weighs in At 266 G or 9.4 o in a uk9 Muno is 259 G Or 9.1 o but that's an UK 8.5 so weight Is definitely very similar with these Shoes I would say they both have an 8mm Drop and a big stack heite with the Nike It's 42 mm at the heel and 34 at the 4ot And then with the Muno it's 44 .5 at the Heel 36.5 at the 4 foot comes to the Design of the two shoes the mauno you've Got an Eva midsole it's mizuno's NY NXT EVA foam with a nylon wave plate running Through that now even though it's Eva Which is bad word now in shoe design It's a very good foam really soft really Bouncy and very enjoyable all around and Then you have mauno smooth speed assist
Rocker in there as well to help you Transition nicely with that big stack of Foam like I say it's a nylon plate in This shoe and you can see that through The huge cutout on the bottom of the Shoe that shows that off gives it just a Little bit more flexibility perhaps than The Nike with its carbon plate although In the zoomfly 6 it's a fairly flexible Carbon plate all around as well you have A booty knit upper on the misso that Rises quite high around the collar there There's not a lot of structure at all at The back of the shoe or any real padding Around the collar there at all then the Outsole you have got rubber covering Pretty much all of the outso that comes Into contact with the floor of the shoe You've got that huge cutout down the Middle obviously but the rest of the Bottom of the shoe is well covered with A pretty thick layer of rubber there and Moving on to the Nike you've got a two Layer woven upper with quite a lot of Padding at the back of the shoe and you Do have an internal heel counter and More sport here than you get on the Mauno overall it's quite a comfortable Uper around for a speed Focus shoe like This you have a dual density midsole on The shoe with a top layer of Nike zoomx Foam you got the bouncy best foam in Nike's range and then a bottom layer of Sr2 carrier foam which increases the
Stability of the shoe a little bit but It's still pretty soft and enjoyable Foam itself I would say got a full Length carbon plate in between them but It's not the stiffest plate in the Carbon range compared to things like you Know the vaporfly and alphafly plates And then you've got rubber out soole That covers the for foot and the heel You've also got a big cutout on the Bottom of the Nike though it's not quite As extensive the one on the Muno the Rubber just covering the key impact Areas on the bottom of the shoe [Music] There so it comes to fit of the two Shoes with Nike I've got my normal uk9 And it's a US 10 with Nike the size I've Used across Nike's range for many years And the fit is really good all around no Concerns at all it's actually a very Comfortable fit for a super trainer I Would say it's it's one thing that Actually helps the zoom fly 6 stand out You know in a crowded super trainer Market got a very nice relaxed upper There that holds the foot securely but Comfortably and isn't too racy without Making the shoe too heavy overall so Yeah really good fit in the Nike would Stick to your normal size with the mauno I've actually got half a size down on my Normal size I've got an 8.5 here in the UK sizing which is a 9.5 in the US I've
Got a really good fit with it though Like the fit is nice and secure it's not Too cramped around the toes I think with The booty style upper I quite like Having that half size down because just Gives you that little bit more of a Secure feeling with a one piece upper Like this that doesn't necessarily hold The foot as tightly sometimes as Something like the one on the Nike but I Haven't had any trouble with this upper Like it's not my favorite upper I don't Tend to love this style of upper but I Know some people really do and I no real Problems with this upper I will say in Testing like I had a good enough hold I Didn't get you know loads of lateral Movement running at speed or anything Like that and it's pretty comfortable Just it feels a bit overbearing to me at Times how high it rises up the foot but If you like the booty style ERS you've Got a really good one here on the mauno But I would consider going half a size Down perhaps just to get a slightly more Dar in fit if you're in between sizes Like I am there's the Nike just Sticktion noral size you know really Good fit all [Music] Around so I think the maun O A Vista and The nikom F 6 are both really great Super trainers they're fun they're Versatile they're enjoyable for you know
A wide range of runs and while they're Maybe not quite as speed focused as some Of the super trainers out there like the Hoka Mac X2 they are still really far Shoes and then they have a lot of Versatility in terms of covering off Easy paac runs as well mauno was a shoe I tested first and it's just a really Soft and bouncy shoe like it's you know Exaggeratedly so more so than most shoes On the market even there's loads of Shoes on the market right now that are Very soft and springy the Neo Vista Certainly stands out for those Properties and you've got a really fun Ride with it you know at any kind of Pace like for me I think it's that its Best on long runs and kind of easy to Steady runs that kind of level of pace But I have gone down the track with it And done a pretty hard session in it Running K reps kind of around 310 pet Pace some 400 met reps doesn't feel the Most natural when you're moving at that Kind of speed I think you actually lose Some of the fun of the shoe like it can Do those Paces it is a verstile shoe but Certainly I enjoyed it more on more Relaxed runs even if I was going at you Know a decent pace you know kind of Tempo runs that kind of thing I did one Long run in the shoe as well and really Enjoyed it for that just because that Midell you like I say it's really fun
Really bouncy it doesn't bottom out at All like at the end of a 90-minute run You kind of 21k you know same fun Enjoyable feeling from this midell than You had at the start of the run and the Nike has a fun ride as well it's not as Bouncy as the mauno but it is still you Know comfortable Under Foot and a lot of Spring I think you get a slightly more Purposeful ride out of the zoomfly 6 Like done some fast sessions in the shoe I've also done a lot of relaxed easy Runs and it copes with all of them Really well but I think it copes with The Speedy stuff a little bit better Than the Muno I think as a heel strike In particular I think you get a better And faster transition onto the four from The Nike and a slightly more respons Feel off the toes that I think pushes You forward a little bit more with the Mauno which is a bit more kind of ly and Bouncy and like I say geared more for Easy stuff and then with the zoom F Stick you still do have those range for Easy runs I would say like the plate is A bit more present it's a bit you firmer And stiffer than the mauno but it still Does feel very nice at relaxed Paces I Found you can take along with this at Nice easy Paces for sure I just think it Has a bit more of an upper gear than the Neo Vista I did a run in both shoes at The same time and you know you really
Feel the bounce of the Muno there like Nik compared to lots of shoes feels like A really bouncy shoe but mauno just you Know feels a bit EXT extra in that Regard and a lot of it is centered Around the midfoot I would say so the Transition from the heel to the midfoot Is it's fast he gets you onto that and Then you get that big level of spring I Think it's the Nike just pushes you a Bit more onto the foref foot though and I think you get a slightly more like I Say direct and forceful push off that Gives you that little bit you know more Oomph for faster runs or rounds I think The part of that is down to the extra Stiffness maybe I felt from the Nike as Well and as a hill Striker I think that Overall transition just works a little Bit better for me with the Nike than it Does in the Muno part of that extra Feeling of speed might also be down to The uppers I'd say as well because with The Nike you have a bit more of a Dar Normal feeling upper and you have got This booty style upper on the Muno which Does I say Rises quite high up the thir And you it's not a bad uper by any means It just doesn't feel fast to me and as a Result sometimes I think I maybe Downgrade how fast a Muno is in my mind But they are both definitely very Versatile shoes but I do think the Nike Is a bit of an NE of speed and the Mauna
Has a bit more fun to it when you are Moving at more relaxed [Music] Places so verdict is these are both Really good shoes and they can both do a Lot of different kinds of runs very well And they do all of that at a slightly Lower price than most of the super Trainers on the market both have a nice Feel to them at easy Paces they don't Feel too overbearing or Speedy they have A comfortable uppers they have nice Comfortable feeling underfoot as well You can accelerate and run fast in both Of these shoes as well I think the Nike Is a bit better for that especially when It comes to maybe sustaining Paces over Long distances where slightly softer Feel of the Muno might just start to Drag you down a bit if you are trying to Hold of pace and I think it's the one I'll be picking if I was looking for a Speed Focus trainer for sure or even a Standin racing shoe compared to the Carbon shoes out there for one shoe to Do it all I'd also look at the zoomfly 6 Just cuz you've got that greater range At speed while it is still you really Fun at those slower Paces if you are Looking for more of a daily trainer to Mostly do quite relaxed runs long runs That kind of thing Muno is a bit more Fun than the Nike like it's a really Balancy mile it's great fun to run in
The shoe even though it's a big tall Shoe of the soft fame I haven't found it Too unstable or anything like that and It's a great shoe just to pull on and Bounce around and which makes of Everyday outings a bit more fun Nike has A bit more purpose more directness and Yeah does that job of a speed train a Little bit better as a result there's Definitely a lot of overlap between These two shoes maybe a small case you Could look at both of them in a rotation With mauno doing more of your easy runs And the Nike then you know building more Towards speed sessions but I think if I Was doing that and I had the Mizuno I'd Probably look at you know more of a racy Speed trainer like the Hoka ma X2 or Even a full carbon racing youo to pair With it and the Nike and if I had the Nike I think it does so many of your Daily runs well you can maybe look at a Full you know comfortable just straight Cushion shoe for easy runs you know Something without a plate that's a bit More focused on stability and support Would probably pair better so there is Enough overlap here that probably Wouldn't look at buying both of these Shoes comes to selecting shoe for my own Rotation if I was picking between them I'd probably get the Nike because the Role the Mauna does really well which is Just hoovering up lots of runs and
Feeling very fun and bouncy I tend not To use plate to choose for that run even Though it's a flexible nylon plate you Have in the shoe doesn't feel like it's Doing too much to change biomechanics or Anything like that I'd probably just go For a more of a standard shoe more of a Standard cushion shoe and just tick Through those runs and there are some You know really fun ones as well that do Have a lively ride even if it's not Quite as Lively and fun as the Muno and Then the Nike just works really well as A speed trainer especially especially Someone in marathon training like myself Where does a lot of long sessions really Really well because of the comfortable But fast ride so yeah I prefer the Nike Zoom 6 but there's definitely a case Looking at mauno they're both really Good shoes you got that fun bouncy a Really enjoyable ride with mauno then The extra versatility and speed you get From the zoomfly 6 but yeah both good Shoes worth checking [Music] Out that's a comparison of the Muno Neo Vista and the Nike Zoom fly 6 let us Know what you think in the comments Below please like And subscribe ring the Little bell and we'll see you next time
