In today’s episode of Shoe Care Academy; Megell will share all the tips and tricks needed to provide your mesh sneakers with the deepest and most effective clean possible.
After Megell rocked this comfort sneaker to a video shoot in Sedona, Arizona these were completely trashed and covered in red dirt. Let us just tell you that red clay is hands down one of the HARDEST things to remove and you will 1000% need to pick up a Reshoevn8r Signature Shoe Cleaning Kit.
Prior to going in with Reshoevn8r products, Megell took a few tips from Vick and used the air compressor and Medium Brush to prep the sneaker. Now we know that not everyone has an air compressor, but dry brushing is HIGHLY important to get the best clean possible on your kicks.
For the next step of this cleaning Megell started scrubbing the entire uppers using the three different shoe cleaning brushes that RESHOEVN8R offers. The main benefit of these 3 brushes is that they are designed for sneakers and they allow you to clean each and every part of the sneaker without causing any damage. When cleaning sneakers the pretreatment is just as important as the laundry system.
The pretreatment allows you to break down any service dust to avoid pushing the dirt further into the materials. This red clay is notorious for staining your sneakers, so it is important to do anything to avoid pushing it into the trickier materials.
After the pretreatment was completed it was important to put the sneaker in the patented Laundry System. The Laundry System includes a Laundry bag, Shoe Trees and Laundry Detergent. All three of these products are crucial for providing your mesh, knit or canvas sneakers with the deepest clean possible. We washed the sneaker on the normal cycle using the cold water option. It is INCREDIBLY important that you wash your sneakers with cold water or it can cause damage.
After removing them from the wash and allowing them to dry; we noticed that the red clay had still stained the shoe just a little bit. For this Megell relied on a quick clean with our Solution and our handheld steamer. The benefit of this is to penetrate deep into the materials and remove any trapped in dirt. However, with mesh sneakers you can always put them in the washing machine one more time for a deeper clean. NOT all shoes come completely clean after just 1 round; it is all dependent on how dirty the shoe is.
After that this shoe was looking top tier and ready for the next video shoot, Sneakercon or any other activity Megell wants to test out! Now that you know the do’s and don’ts of cleaning mesh sneakers it’s your turn to take on your comfort shoe.

Into the material with soap and water we Really just want to knock off this first Layer of dirt and then we'll be able to Tell where the real stains Are so the D is doing a pretty good job There's still a little bit of Trapped in Dirt in there we got to get out no Worries though we're just going to head To mini worlds compress that out and We'll be good to [Music] Go oh hell no what the count your days Buddy where's my my Ball Nice Shot two [Applause] [Music] Two big might have got the DU but I Can't leave on the Miss real Shooters no All right back to business now we're Going to move on to the pre- cleaning on These sneakers basically we want to take Our 4 oz bottle of solution give Ourselves two good squirts now we are Working with a full mesh upper now with That being said sometimes it can be very Delicate and it's known to snag and fray So we're going to start off with our Soft Bristol brush now this is the most Delicate in our three brush pack and Just to take an extra precaution I'm Just going to brush in One Direction Just to avoid any potential risk in
Snagging the Material as I'm cleaning the shoe I'm Noticing that that red Sedona dirt is Not budging so for that reason I'm not Going to dry the shoe I'm just going to Let the solution soak deeper into this Material so we can penetrate those Stains on a deeper Level all right so that soft brush did About everything it's going to do we're Going to go ahead and hop over to the Medium bristle brush but I'm only going To be focusing on this dirty midsole I'm Going to let the washing machine handle The rest of the work on these uppers [Music] While I was rocking these over the Weekend this colorway definitely GRE on Me but I just look up the price real Quick before this video and these bad Boys sitting at like 450 for my size I Like the shoe and all but I'm kind of a Retail guy but let me know in the Comments one are you even rocking with This shoe and two are you going to drop Resale on these or you sticking to the Retail Club let me know in the comments All right that medium brush did what it Was supposed to do and is it just me or Is it nothing like a fresh white M so I Mean come on now so with that being said All we got to do now is hop over to the Stiff brle brush tackle this out Sole And then we'll be good to drop these bad
Boys in the washer let's keep it moving All right that's going to wrap it up for The pre- cleaning on these sneakers There are a couple deeper stains in There but the shoe is overall looking a Lot better we just got to get these Laces nice and wet then we'll toss them In the washer with the shoe and let them Do the work cayb hit me with that Laundry bag oh yeah I'm like oale shoes In there we going to put our laces right In this lace pouch Vic Almighty hit me With that laundry Pod he wants to play for the Diamond Bags z z let's go All right my people so we went ahead and Let these sneakers dry overnight and to Be honest they're looking so much better But I do got to point out there's a Couple smaller stains right over here in This toebox area and then over here on The side it might not even be noticeable On camera that's how small it is but Here at rejuvenator is no stain left Behind I'm over here at mini worlds this Is our drop off cleaning station so what I'm going to do I'm going to dab a Little bit of solution just in these two Areas hit it with the steamer and it Should come right out and if you don't Have a steam you can just toss these in The washer for one more round but this Just a little faster let's knock it Out stick them
[Music] [Music] Up all right we just pulled the shoe in From outside the shoe is looking a lot Better the stain is completely gone you Can't even tell it was there right now We just got to lace the shoe up and then I'll be able to show you all the before And after my favorite Part all right got these bad boys laced Up pretty much Factory so let's pull in This other shoe check out the difference So if you look at this before shoe we Can see that pretty much every inch of The the mesh is covered in dirt it's Caked in not looking good you know those Three brushes laundry system a little Bit of elbow grease with a steamer and We back like we never left I mean come On now look at that the soft Bristal Brush did a great job of breaking down All this surface dust and getting that Dirt out of the way and then of course The medium brush on this midsole and Then lastly the stiff brush always does Its thing on the outo to achieve these Exact results we use the rejuvenator Signature kit and this is actually one Of my favorites because it has that Patented laundry system which is pretty Much the main reason that got our Sneakers back right I can't stress how Important it is if you have a pair of White mesh sneakers to keep the
