They finally listened to us this is the Unit La Jordan collab we've always [Music] Wanted so here it is one of my most Anticipated sneaker releases of the Entire year finally at my door I grabbed My pair from Soul Steels I actually paid For next day shipping so I bought this Like 2 days ago there was only one size Available size 10 so unfortunately we're Reviewing a size 10 today which is not My size but it's close enough I can fit It and I have other air Jord ones or I've had other Air Jordan Ones in size 10 so I'm still pretty confident in Sizing when we actually do the Tryon Portion of this shoe but I have not seen The box for this sneaker at all I've Only ever seen images of the shoe online But never the box so I'm really Interested to see what box we're working With here is it like the other Union LA Air Jordan one boxes I don't know we'll Find out in a second so they did a Really nice job wrapping this I think I Paid around a grand for this probably Exactly a grand plus one day shipping or Next day shipping so I mean I'm spending A lot of money on sneakers month it's uh It's not it's not great but hey okay so Here's the box it actually looks just Like the union LA Air Jordan one box From the 2018 pairs so very similar Obviously a little bit bigger because I
Guess the size 10 box is bigger it could Also be that maybe they just made the Box bigger but everything looks pretty Much the same you got the same graphics On the top uh with your glossy Jumpman You've got a what looks like just a Black box in the bottom with a Air Jordan 1 SLE bottom half so the only Real difference is the fact that this is A um a door box with uh some printed Graphics on the top and then you've got The size tag on the front like I said This is a size 10 and the official Colorway of this pair is Varsity red Black sale it's an Air Jordan one Retro High Ogp has a label the same on this one no Slightly different labeling on the older Box versus newer box this is obviously How they're doing labels on newer Air Jordan 1es This Is How They did do Labels on older Air Jordan 1es so that's One of the differences but yeah box Itself pretty similar to the original Small changes here and there but nothing Major so without further ado let's pop This up see what we get oh it's okay Cool I didn't realize I just showed you Guys what was going on right inside the Box okay so inside of the box it's black Uh the shoes probably were wrapped at One point but it looks like they were Just placed on top of the wrapping That's fine and here they are the union
LA Air Jordan one Chicago Shadows Releasing summer sometime I'm going to Tell you guys later on in the video when The actual release is but at the time of Be unboxing the shoes I don't know what It is U put this off to the side for a Second Inside the Box we've got the Union La paper right here kind of clear It shows different details on the uh on The shoe looks like they've actually Changed things up a little bit woven Tag Store colors nice midsole oh it's got All this information I think the last Pair did too but this might be a little Bit different it says logo woven label Unla did they change the label okay now Looks the same uh muslin plus option Light yellowing oxidized outsole leather Just kidding flooded antique Rave no Edges binding Stitch under lace Loop Sock liner so these must be some of the Original sketches and drawings that they Did for the Air Jordan 1 Union La collab Interestingly they have an image of the Laces having stitching in them which I Don't think is something that they Actually have I think it's just a uh I Think it's just a color change like They're dyed in one part and then it Changes as you move down the lace which Is what they did on the old uh Union LA Air Jordan 1es but very cool I love the Storytelling on this paper I never Really looked at it on the original one
That's very very cool and then you've Got your standard paper right there so That is the pack pag in for the union LA Air Jordan 1es the new ones coming out In 2025 thank God that they're releasing Something that's like pretty similar to What really hit for them back in the day Because I don't know I just wasn't in Love with some of their newer Collaborations not that they were bad It's just the first ones hit so hard These ones are just great because They're kind of going back to the Original a little bit and we will Compare these to the original pairs in a Little bit but fresh out of the box I Mean they look great you've got the Union La tag right there in light blue Are there any other changes that I Haven't noticed I mean you got three Sets of laces right off the bat it looks Like they're already prestarted in the Bottom of the shoe which is very cool I Love these These are these are sick These are so sick do I like them as much As the other Pairs I don't know we'll have to uh Check them all out side by side so from What I can tell that's pretty much what You can expect to get inside the box now Let's take a deeper look at the shoes Themselves oh really quick before I Forget if you want to win a pair of Travis Scott Air Jordan one low medium

Of two colorways the storm blue and the Black toe colorway and each shoe was a Mashup of two Classic Air Jordan one Sneakers as you could have guessed from The name the storm blue was a mash up of The storm blue on the bottom half of the Sneaker and the breed ones on the top Half of the sneaker when it comes to the Black toes same deal you've got the Black Toe air Jord ones on the bottom And then the neutral Grays on the top It's like the zigzag stitching and the Exposed foam around the top of the Tongue and of course the Aged midsole Which at the time was not something that Was done that often those details made These one of the most experimental and Interesting collaborations of all time These pairs originally released for $190 Each but as we all know the resale price Skyrocketed to thousands in the Following months and years in fact I Paid around $800 to $900 for each one of These at the time and now they're going For $1,200 to $1,500 at one point I Think they were going for $2,000 000 After these sneakers dropped Union La Continued to collaborate with Jordan Bran most notably on the Air Jordan 4 Silhouette among others but the hype Never really hit the same levels as it Did with the first Air Jordan 1 collabs But in 2025 it looks like Union is Finally giving the people the
Collaboration that they've been asking For since 2018 the new Union LA Air Jordan 1 Chicago Shadow like the Original collabs this pair draws Inspiration from the late 80s and early '90s good time to be born I have to say It's got all the Vintage Vibes and still Features the details that made the Original is so great but they've Switched up the colors on this release To give it its own unique flavor but why Don't we dive into the materials and Make up this new pair of Union LA Air Jordan 1es around the toe of the sneaker You've got this Varsity Red tumbled Leather mudu guard one of the things That I love about this collaboration is The edges of the leather and that they Actually dyed them to be yellow which Give them an age and also very unique Look the toe of the shoe comes in white Tumbled perforated Leather And as far as Leather quality goes from what I can Tell it's not great I mean the originals Weren't great either but this time Around it feels just a tad worse I mean It's been 7 years but still I don't know If it's the tumbled leather texture that Just kind of feels a little bit too fake Or maybe the leather feeling a bit more Plasticky than the original releases but Either way it just doesn't have that Same sort of quality feeling I mean to Be fair it's not terrible it's very
Similar and possibly nicer than standard Air Jordan one leather but I was hoping For some Primo stuff on a collab like This maybe I'm asking for too much I Don't know moving back in the sneaker You get to the foot stabilizer straps Which also come in the same Varsity red Leather with yellow edges and as you Would expect the I stays come in the Same material with eyelets punched Through them weaving through the eyelets You'll have one of the three lace Options this the standard one which I Have laced here is the cream and black Split laces it's actually the same color Combo that you get on some of the Previous collaborations on the black Toes it's flipped but it's still cream And black like the older collabs it's Not actually stitched together like the Sketch would imply instead it's just a Dip dyed end now one gripe that I've Always had with Union La laces is how Easily they come untied it's ridiculous I don't know if it's the smooth almost Satiny texture or maybe the thickness But man I could not get these laces to Stay tied unless I double knot them it's Insane it's like every time I throw on a Pair of unions I got to remember okay I've really got to tie these laces like I've got to be very intentional about How much I knot them because if I don't They're going to be untied like every 5
Minutes it's really frustrating the next Lace option which was also available in The previous collab are the yellow laces Which honestly look great and when I get My own size I probably will lace up These shoes with the yellow laces they Also seem like regular laces too so they Might not untie every 5 Seconds like These other ones and finally you get to Another split option this time around It's a primarily black lace with gray Tips they're fine I don't have a problem With these but for me it's all about These tan and black laces or these Yellow laces this is the only way that I Would go underneath the lace and on the Bottom half of the tongue you've got This white or sort of off-white colored Nylon that's thin enough to see through To the tan foam underneath then getting About halfway up the tongue you get to This blue stitching detail that Separates the bottom half of the tongue From the top half of the tongue which Comes in black nylon and as with all the Other Union La collaborations the top Half of the tongue comes with unfinished Edges that allow you to see the yellow Foam underneath and then rounding off The tongue you get to this white tag That feels kind of papery and features The outlines of the nikea logo in Black Which is actually different from some of The previous releases that feature a
Much more standard looking tongue tag I Don't mind it it's different I would Have preferred this tongue tag but not a Big deal the sock liner of the shoe Comes in a black mesh and like The Originals the insoles come in white with The same sketching that we saw on the Paper inside the box like I said earlier It looks like the original concept Sketches of the collab specific details That are found on the shoe honestly it's A pretty cool touch that they added that I love the storytelling aspect here I Think it's a really nice detail as for Sizing why don't we throw this pair on Feet and see how they fit all right so I Got a new pair of shoes to show you and I want to compare it to some other pairs Of shoes you're probably familiar with One of which I actually proposed to you In this one a that's a special one and Then this one I just like so but it's From the same collaboration so I wanted To compare these guys to the upcoming Union LA Air Jordan 1es which release I Think it the summertime but I wanted to Get your thoughts on them what do you Think nice it's sort of a mash up of the Chicago ones and the shadow ones Stitched together literally around the Top of the shoe yeah it's cool yeah Right so these are the two older ones That released back in 2018 um people Really like these but then Union La like
Wouldn't re-release these for whatever Reason so we're finally getting a new Version of these in uh 25 so what is That 7 years later but yeah which color Way do you like the best out of these Three the Blue well the blue is sentimental the Blue is sentimental so is that is that Your favorite yeah there's yeah they're Pretty nice fair enough I think these Are pretty similar in general I think I Prefer these Ones but I'm not sure why maybe it's Just cuz I'm used to them I don't know I Like the cream laces on I do too well They all have cream laces oh they Actually do and then you can switch them Like they all have the exact same laces Well these ones are actually Okay these ones have the same laces Cream at the bottom black at the top oh Nice okay cool but then they give you Three other or two other sets you get a Gray and black and then you get a just All yellow but um I'm going to throw These guys on and see how they fit now Unfortunately they are a size 10 so they Are bigger than both of those pairs but I have other or I've had other size 10 Air Jordan 1 so I know how size 10 Jordan 1es fit so I'm just going to kind Of Base it off of that they come unlaced But I uh I laced them up and probably Did them a little too tight that's fine
There we go they feel like size 10 a Jordan Ones which I'll be honest is Exactly what I expected I think these Fit just like a standard pair of Air Jordan Ones so I would say true to size Unless you wear a different size in your Air Jordan Ones but uh now that they're On foot do you have any changes in Opinion no I mean they they're really Nice they are nice right yeah I like Them I like them a lot Too that dog likes them as well what do You give them out of 10 um I like them I'd rate them pretty High like 75 okay that's about where I'm I'm feeling with them they're not my Favorite Jordan Ones to drop this year Definitely not but they're near the top Okay well with that out of the way let's Head back to the studio as far as Comfort goes they're fine they're Honestly just a regular pair of Jordan 1es when it comes to comfort and fit so It's not going to blow you away in any Aspect that said If you're trying to Make your Air Jordan Ones the most Comfortable that they can be I do Recommend grabbing a pair of Apothecary Socks you can grab some pairs from our Recent Patchwork capsule on our website Or through the YouTube shopping tab on Your screen or check out our upcoming Valentine's Day collection which Includes this fire shirt and other socks
And of course other shirts so check out Your sneakers new favorite socks on Apothecary dcom but hey continuing back In the sneaker we get to a white tumbled Leather midfoot panel with the black I Guess newbu Nike Swoosh I'm not totally Sure what material it is but it is the Same material used on the previous Collaboration so they stayed consistent There just behind that we've got this Red leather panel on the heel which Rounds off the Chicago portion of the Shoe moving up on the shoe the top half Is split from the bottom half by this Blue stitching detail that wraps all the Way around the sneaker the top half of The shoe comes in Shadow color blocking And features this super hairy black Suede around the top of the ankle area The eyes stays switch from red leather To black leather towards the top of the Tongue and the ankle stabilizer straps Come in Gray tumbled leather on the Lateral side of the shoe you've got this Oversized debost black wings logo it's Not hugely oversized but if you compare It to any of the previous Union LA Air Jordan 1 Wings logos they're all the Same and they're all bigger than Standard Wings logos just beneath that You've got the now very recognizable Unla Yellow Tag hanging out from Underneath the gray leather adding a Nice pop of contrasting color on the
Side of the shoe it's a small touch but It's one of my favorite details on the Sneaker and it ties in nicely with the Yellow edges then moving down on the Sneaker you get to this age sale midsole And Chicago red outsole like the Original Union LA Air Jordan 1es I think They did a great job on this pair I Still love the concept of taking two old Worn out pairs of classic Jordan 1es and Frankensteining them together to make Something brand new and the colorways They chose to combine on this pair were Great I love them if I had to pick my Favorite of these three Union LA Air Jordan 1es I would probably go for the Storm Blues purely because of Sentimental reasons however I do think I Prefer the black toes to these we Obviously also can't forget about last Year's bey's Beauty Supply Union LA Air Jordan 1's the triple collaboration I Don't think it hit the way that they Were hoping probably because of the knit Detail on the side of the shoe but Honestly I still think it's a solid Release just not as solid as these What's Wild to me though was how cheap That she was selling for right now for a While it was selling for way under Retail I think it'll be really Interesting to see how well this release Does in terms of resale I mean I'm sure It's going to sell out but will it reach
